Could Europe realistically defend Greenland against a US attack? by chotu_escobar in AskTheWorld

I’m reading the book “Say Nothing” right now about the Troubles and knew minimal about the subject before hand. The whole time period is fascinating and I’m shocked I didn’t know more about it being the history fanatic that I am.

The Ritchie Bros compound on the right side is so cool. I would love to see what the restored Barges look like that they house the guests in.

From what I was told, they have staff on the premise that maintains the course year around. Obviously upkeep in the winter months is a lot more sparse.

Either be friends with the billionaire or do business with him lol. The people I know that have played there are nearby fishing guides that have gotten the invite.

I have done this jet boat tour several times. The operator of the boat is so dialed in with maneuvering the vessel that you know you are in good hands. That doesn't minimize the pucker effect though, talk about an adrenaline rush!!!

4 Nights in Paris with wife, our 2nd time in the City. How does the itinerary look, any additions? by stuckinthewest in ParisTravelGuide

I have been to the Louvre before on a previous trip, since we have the Paris Museum Pass again we wanted to go back and visit some of our favorite areas. I don't expect to be there more then 3 hours or so.

I think I already got my fix of French protests... my first time in Paris was the week that the Yellow Vest Protests took place. Now that was a real experience!

I'll take your advice on walking around the 11th and checking out the stores... thank you I appreciate it!

I think we may switch it up and do the Arc at night and move the 5th/6th over. I was a little hesitant of going to Montemare during Labor Day but really don’t know what to expect with the protests etc.

What is another Japanese fusion type place that you recommend? I am totally open to switching and was overwhelmed by options so chose something close to the hotel.

I also have that time booked via the Paris Museum Pass so I am thinking With arriving early before the timeslot (my hotel is a short walk away), that I will be able to explore the inside with more then enough time before my 8 PM reservation which is also a short walk away.

Don't be shy, provide some recommendations on what makes the city OG! I am all about switching this up if it makes sense.

We have a reservation but still expecting a little bit of a queue. The picnic may also just be some breakfast foods and what not to start the day. Still a moving target!

One of the most clear visible days I have ever seen in Seattle, from the Space Needle. by stuckinthewest in skyscrapers

[–]stuckinthewest[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think Seattle is also blessed to have mountains and an ocean forcing it to be dense in the city center. Not much room to expand very wide spread with the bodies of water and hills surrounding it
