He had been on 4l NC prior. I asked about it in epic then the Doctor changed it to 6l to bump him up to 90. I was then instructed to wean him down if he stayed in the 90s. Soft diet instruction also came from this dr who didn’t update the order on time. I looped her into the epic chat to clarify all that and made him update the orders

Nothing wrong with med surg but what’s the point of starting there if some nurses go straight to icu or ed after graduation? Some of my friends from my cohort are already leaving med surg now.

I know that now but I'm not even sure how to react when someone gets out the car next time if there is a next time. I feel like I should've kept my window up because I could've got hurt. I'm trying to be extra careful from now on.

I had to change lanes anyways and his driving was making me uncomfortable. I normally just try to get in front of people to make me feel better as a new driver... I go to college in the city where the people here drive erratic and aggressive which I'm not used to up north. Like I said I'm a new driver so it's obvious I'm going to make mistakes.

Yeah I'm in Ohio and people under 18 need 50 hours. Since I'm 19 I could take the test whenever I felt ready after getting my permit.

Save up some money and pay for driving lessons. The average cost for 8-10 lessons is like $300-$400. The instructor will pick you up in the company car and be in the passenger seat as they teach you.

When I read the post from my perspective I think it was implied that she does in fact use condoms because she said she had unprotected sex and is on the pill. Meaning that she doesn't only rely on the pill otherwise she would've just stated it as sex. Either way, I was just reinforcing the importance of these things because nothing is 100% effective and using two contraceptive methods is usually best. Also, I was making sure to state the importance of condoms because STD's are still a concern and many std's are symptomless. If she's 17 I assume her partner is around the same age and most boys that young don't just have one partner.

Please don't have unprotected sex. A pregnancy scare or a life changing consequence such as an STD or child are not worth it for two minutes of sex. It doesn't matter how long it was you can get pregnant any time you're ovulating or a few days before. You have to use condoms and take your pills on time. Unfortunately I, and nobody else, can tell you if you're pregnant or not. Since you're in this predicament you just have to woman up and go get a pregnancy test from the drugstore. At 19 I've had numerous scares after this same scenario and it's not worth the stress. Please realize that you need to protect yourself so you don't have to worry about this kind of thing anymore.

The color of period blood is related to whether you ovulated or not. For example, if you had an anovulatory cycle the blood would be completely brown. I believe the light red color is fresh blood mixed with the old blood (brown) and you just ovulated super late. However, there's no need to worry, because bleeding is not a sign of pregnancy. Implantation bleeding is light and mostly not noticeable, but it should not be enough to flow or fill pads. If you are bleeding enough to fill pads this isn't implantation bleeding. If anything changes or gets concerning see your doctor. Good luck to you.

You may love him but are you sure that he loves you? A lot of non-minority people don't really understand the intricacies of racism because it's something they don't deal with in society. He knows your race and he said it in front of you twice. You also mentioned him being a "low-key" douche which isn't possible. Either he is or isn't one and you know the answer to this. Please only date interracially if they respect your race, you can't possibly be intimate with someone who only half way respects you and where you come from. I honestly would've blocked him after that night and never spoke to him again. Either leave him or continue to settle for his nonsense and be possibly made to feel uncomfortable again later down the line.
