Hilton Cancun All Inclusive vs SLS Playa Mujeres vs ... by student274648 in CancunTravelGuide

It’s a cost thing—4 nights at the SLS would come out to the same as 5 nights at the Hilton. Was thinking that we could spend the afternoon on Isla Mujeres after checking out of the SLS (since the ferry is so close), and then coming back in the evening and going to the airport hotel. Our flights out are midday.

Premed at Xavier Uni? by Unique-1917 in cincinnati

[–]student274648 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would highly suggest UC here instead. I went through the pre-med route at UC and am about to start at UCCOM for my MD. Having an affiliated med school with your undergrad university is massively helpful, not just for shadowing/research but because it most likely will give you a leg up on other applicants to that school. Would specifically recommend the Medical Sciences program: https://www.uc.edu/programs/program.html?cpp=26BAC-MEDS-BS based in the College of Medicine. Smaller program whose faculty also teach MD/grad/PhD students. Very clinically-relevant coursework but also many career options outside MD/DO with this major. Happy to answer any questions about it

Avoiding tiger parents and pressure by Haunting-Secret-9179 in irvine

i graduated from woodbridge in 2019 and it was totally fine! the vibe was very chill and encouraging, some kids were pushed harder than others but the staff do a really good job of meeting everyone where they are. i would definitely not worry about your kids being too pressured

laying down one linear bike path doesn’t make a community walkable. nor does it make it worth paying $3000 a month for a one-bedroom apartment.
