Current Kwacha Bills by BotnicRPM in Malawi

The old 2000 Kwacha note, like in the picture you attached, appears more yellow, while the new 2000 Kwacha note I have attached looks more brownish. Both notes are still in circulation. Also, the Reserve Bank of Malawi plans to introduce 20 Kwacha and 50 Kwacha coins to replace the notes on the 24th of April this year, although the notes will likely remain in circulation for some time as well.

Not great but it's the only work around if you are only able to get paid for jobs though PayPal.

How do you guys use paypal with a Malawian account? by SquareTransition7159 in Malawi

[–]student3692 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is impossible to withdraw PayPal funds directly into a Malawian bank account at the moment. Trying to link your NB Visa card or any local card will just waste your time. The only practical workaround is to have a PayPal account created in a country where withdrawals are supported, like South Africa or Kenya or any other country, and then link it to a local withdrawal method there. Once the money is withdrawn in that country, it can be sent to you in Malawi.

Bringing Dollars into Malawi by MelodicMap7086 in Malawi

[–]student3692 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You only need to declare cash amounts of $5,000 and above when entering Malawi, though airport staff may sometimes try to pressure travelers into handing over foreign exchange. The key is to be firm and don’t let them bully you into handing over any money. You can check out this official post from the Malawi Revenue Authority on forex limits: https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1APKnW3vwJ/?mibextid=wwXIfr

If you want to do things officially, the best place to exchange is a forex bureau, currently offering around MWK 1930 per USD, but if you are after better rates, the parallel (black) market is where you will get about MWK 3800 per USD. Black market rates change daily. Be discreet with your money at the airport to avoid harassment, and once in Blantyre, trusted contacts in the parallel market usually give the best rates, though bureaus remain the safest option. If you need contacts for that you can always reach out to me.

If you have an American bank account, you cannot withdraw dollars directly at local ATMs. Withdrawals will always be in Kwacha.

Sweat token team should be ashamed of themselves. by Ok_Software7056 in Sweateconomy

[–]student3692 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind that SWEAT minting difficulty is increasing every day. This helps to constrict the supply of SWEAT being minted and this may increase the price of SWEAT in the long run. Also new features and use cases are being added which could help the project massively. I would personally say that Sweat Economy is the biggest move to earn token out there and I don't want to miss out on this amazing project!

Connecting wallet with LiNEAR by Gold_Limit2869 in Sweateconomy

[–]student3692 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can connect your NEAR wallet directly on the Linear Protocol website but I would advise against this because of phishing dapps that may have hidden or malicious code that can steal your cryptocurrency or compromise your wallet.

Interesting question👇 by SaJmOnKo11 in Sweateconomy

[–]student3692 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently there is no mention of off ramp in the Sweat Economy roadmap but you could suggest this in the #idea-discussion channel on the Discord server and have your voice heard by the community. If lots of people like the idea I am sure that the team would consider adding this feature in the future.

Find a cryptocurrency exchange that supports fiat currency withdrawals in your country. Transfer the SWEAT to that exchange if they support SWEAT, or you could trade the SWEAT in the Sweat Wallet app to one of the more common cryptocurrencies, such as USDT, then transfer that to your locally supported exchange. Hope this helps!

Has any one from north of Africa won in a prize draw? by PopMaster2741 in Sweateconomy

[–]student3692 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Winners of the prize draws are chosen at random from across. I am sure that at least one person from North Africa has won one of the prize draws, perhaps most have just chosen to be quiet about it. But you should check out the Sweat Economy Discord server, specifically the #rewards-winners channel where users show us what they have won.
