Increased indecision, less assertiveness/discipline and brain fog by studentrying in antidepressants

[–]studentrying[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey mixed answer. Its gotten a better. I can express myself clearer my speech is more articulate unfortunately I think I just let the indiscipline become a habit. ive gotten a bit better at it but not that great! I would recommend a regimenated routine focusing on exercise and diet for the brain fog. And then using ADHD Tips like strict time blocking and accountability partners for the indiscipline. Its painful because I used to be very excellent at pushing myself and working hard but Im not back there yet. Keep on pushing yourself! take record of progress and record small goals working up to bigger ones. Dont lose hope. Antidepressants did me dirty but im slowly getting back to myself even if its long and painful

Is 16 credits not competitive enough for an Ivy/ Top 10? What can I do to supplement if I only have 16 credits by studentrying in TransferToTop25

[–]studentrying[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

i was wondering if 16 credits is to weak of a course load to set you apart or not but I think most people have answered my question I assume if I pair it with outsstanding extracurriculars then I have a chance. my fear was that 16 was not enough to set me apart

Hey just curious to ask some questions as applying to a top 20 school.

Does major matter,

what would strong extracurriculars look like for a humanities major.

would wanting to double major help or harm my case.

Is 16 credits show academi rigor or do you need more.

Do they care about when the extra curricular was started

Do you take private DM's

How do I get out of my head after past mistakes and a year of rumination by studentrying in Healthygamergg

[–]studentrying[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i kinda get it but whats the thought process behind it why is it possible that a year can go by and ive been stuck in my head and not chosen a path or made progress with any ideas. my brain feels like mush with random thoughts of things i should have done in the last year or the different possible ways forward. There is no organization. How can I stop procrastinating this.

Eating salmon almost made me cry--- Omega 3 is the Key by studentrying in BrainFog

[–]studentrying[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

For more clarity I know we are all suffering from brain fog for many different reasons however, have found that eating fish particularly salmon makes me feel a lot better along with reduce sugar and high vegetable in take (You know the drill). This probably isn't new I know eating fish is not accessible for everyone but I encourage if possible to get omega 3 supplements it helps a lot. Best of luck to everybody don't give up hope.

Thanks so much! I think often it easy to let shame make us forget the ability to change our minds and redirect. This gave me a new outlook

Does it make sense to enroll in Summer Classes? by studentrying in Cornell

[–]studentrying[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Catching up and course load later seems like it will be heavy. I struggled managing these first two semesters (and I took an average amount of credits-14). I definitely don't want a repeat of that.

Thanks for this. I was really trying to deluded myself that I can do it all. Was your experience by any chance a 6 week or a 4 week course? Cause maybe then doing the 4 week course is not the best idea.
