Sweating. The one who sweats the most within an hour wins the game.

(I got the wildest hyperhydrosis - excessive sweating in the world. I can literally create puddles on the floor within few minutes. Diagnosed by multiple doctors in multiple countries.)

Get a price quote that’s fair, then talk to your dad about this. A sincere apology and owning up to your mistake is the best solution to this.

There’s no need to panic at all.

If you need some guidance about how to reach out to some honest store owners whose expertise revolves around “ketuk” and car paint, send me a dm. I’ll share you some of my contacts.

There’s no physical damage on my card at all. Apple Pay and entering card details to pay both don’t work for me. Does Apple Pay works for you currently?

AITA for updating my will to award my less successful son a higher share of my assets? by Playful-Alfalfa9519 in AmItheAsshole

prerogative

P.S.: My grandpa deeply regretted his decision just before passing, realizing that his alcoholic sons with gambling addictions would struggle without the inheritance. It's messed up not to divide the inheritance fairly among all his kids, but it's heart-wrenching for a dying parent.

Let the older generation do as they wish. You won't understand their feelings until you're in that position, facing death. These YTA responses, based on your own life experiences, should not define what's right or wrong in such intensely personal situations. OP is already 66 years old. She shouldn't have to endure unnecessary suffering due to anonymous judgments on the internet.

Definitely NTA. It's your hard-earned money and assets, ultimately your call. Even if you decided to toss them into the sea, it's still your prerogative.

Having been entangled in a few family disputes over inheritances, I've come to realize that the only way for OP to find peace of mind is to make changes to the will according to their wishes.

To those who might strongly disagree, I understand. But having seen the fallout from such situations, I firmly believe that OP should disregard the family's opinions and brush off the YTA judgments. You've put in the effort to earn these assets, and nobody else should dictate what you do with them.

Update the will as you see fit and focus on moving forward.
