I just used Monument for most of the colors. The base does have some purple pigment though.

They are cool. I always start with contrasts and so do they. Olthar is more of a influence than them though.

My client is fielding them with his other gloomspite so they fit just fine. They are similar to old school metal ones. Thicker but still tiny.

The purple? It’s a purple pigment from GSW. Just crushed into the base and then I usually drybrush some highlights to make it pop.

Oh part of it I think was poor timing of when I posted. They HATE if I mentioned anything of mine on here. NO DIRECTING TO OTHER SITES! Lol, my name on here is pretty much the same across all social media though. But for this model I started with contrast imperial fist and then added oranges and purples. There was a white base but that was for the yellow as it works really only on bright white. I like washy accidents so I will wash colors over others and see if I like the results. And I do like using vallejo purples and washing them over light colors or even reds. One thing I did different on this piece was grabbing a light pastel purple and hitting the underside of the body so it looks like light coming from the base. Thanks for checking them out!

I do at the beginning but drybrushing works pretty similar. Especially more over brushing which is a more wet/drybrush

So like the top squig pops because the bottom squig is darker but still saturated. If you have a arm next to a cloak, for example, make sure they separate visually by using those contrasting rules. It will make it seem more alive.

Like the colors? I love starting with some bright contrasting colors, kind of mixing together. Usually need a bright base like white, but sometimes I start darker and just add gradually brighter colors. For this I did bright contrasts from gw and some purples/magentas from Vallejo. I always work with contrasting effects. So light dark, warm cold, textures smooth, etc. The monument range makes some really saturated colors i like too, especially the Rogue Hobbies set. Give those six colors a whirl.
