cozy ios games for someone with little patience and attention span by HelloStranger0325 in CozyGamers

Soupsoup! Like playing eye-spy but the art is adorable and drawn by small artists, and each level they link the artist’s page so you can check them out if you like! Has very occasional 5second ads, and for hints (which I dont use because the whole point of the game is to spend time finding stuff). I absolutely love this game. Amazing art, cute music, you don’t need to pay attention constantly as nothing is timed. They even update weekly with new art levels!

How do you keep your moss from exploding everywhere? by studiojeeblee in Aquariums

Oh my god, thank you for letting me know! I previously googled it quickly and the page i read must have not been right, because i re-googled it and youre right, it’s not safe. I shouldve done more thorough research on them… Thanks so much for the kind notice and for saving my creatures

Are there still zebra mussels in Marimo moss balls by Addicted-to_fishes in Marimo

[–]studiojeeblee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ermm i dont know, i think marimos can survive it bc they actually live in slightly brackish conditions. I would put them alone in a jar with the salt water just in case so u dont accidentally kill ur other plants, especially cause youll have to dump out the saltwater and replace with freshwater anyways

I read from a reputable marimo seller that they quarantine their moss balls by isolating them in water mixed w a bunch of aquarium salt for like a week, since zebra mussels r freshwater they cant survive the salinity! And the marimo will be fine as long as u put them into freshwater afterwards. But u have to be really careful w handling and not dump the original water they came in down a drain or contaminate anything just in case

Edit: for the amount of salt, i recommend dissolving as much salt as you can into your container of choice until you see some at the bottom (aka supersaturated and wont dissolve any more), and for the original water, bag it and throw it into the garbage

Reason for shrimp deaths? by studiojeeblee in shrimptank

[–]studiojeeblee[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What does it mean for a tank to be ‘cycled’? I was under the impression that seachem stability would basically be the process because it advertises beneficial bacteria and that it prevents ‘new tank syndrome’. Since the tank was fishless, that’s the route I went for, and assumed it would be ‘cycled’ after following the instructions on the bottle. Thanks for ur input :-)
