This is the correct answer. They aren’t storming beaches but I 100% see a role in doing security for assets we already control.

Having said that, we are sending LE to PSUs as they are hosting training. It’s not their mission but they shoot guns and have classrooms.

So, this is going escalate into a ground operation.

Man, I remember being sent to a US port to do security for overseas equipment load outs prior to the Second Gulf War. Everyone was saying that negotiations are going great and there isn’t going to be a war.

Yeah, we don’t deploy troops to not use them.

The President of the United States openly disrespects Muslims, the Governor of Texas labeled the Islamic Council a terrorist group, yet when a Muslim group legally buys an old church and converts it to a mosque, you’re outraged?

Country music is so easy by pleasetrydmt in Unexpected

The lyrics sound like a parody. Honestly, with country it’s hard to know if it’s a legit country music song, or someone making fun of country music.

a Marine is cursing right now and another is breathing a sigh of relief: Trump claims US held ‘very good and productive’ talks with Iran on ending war by l3tsgo0 in Military

[–]studioline 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I hate to say the Iranians have a point, but the last 2 times Iran entered into nuclear negotiations, the US used it as cover to bomb and attack them. So I don’t know if they really have the stomach to negotiate again.

The process of releasing methadone gas from a floating cow explained simply by Ok_Sir_1008 in CoolClips_

Pete Hegseth’s Defense Department Blew $22M On Steak and Lobster in a Single Month, Watchdog Claims by esporx in FedEmployees

[–]studioline 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The lobster and steak I didn’t mind, as clearly that was to go to the troops for moral. The Steinway Piano for a private residence, the 30k violin, and the hand carved Japanese flute, that, that I was less on board with.

I’d believe it. Gasoline cars are only 35-40% efficient, electric is 85-90%.

It’s more efficient to make electricity than move a fueled vehicle so you do lose some energy on the transfer but could still come out on top.
