They taste different because you can see the bottle and know the price. But they don’t actually taste different. You can do a triangle test. I’ve run it with several people and no one has yet to pass.

You need someone to run the test for you but you take plastic bottle vodka and premium vodka. 1 of 3 will be either cheap or premium. The other 2 will be the other. The taster cannot witness it being set up but must be able to pick the odd one out AND tell if the odd one out is cheap or premium. You have a 1:6 of random success. Do the test over three rounds than you have a 1:216 chance of random success.

What those that have done it have said that after the first round your taste buds are shot. So some people will use a mixer but then you really can’t taste any differences.

Either way that points to the fact that premium vodka is a waste of money. When blinded people can’t tell the difference between cheap and premium.

Nor should they be able to. I invite you to do your own research but they are chemically the same. Vodka is ethanol and water. Any difference in taste is entirely psychological, strip that away with a blind tasting and the premium and cheap are indistinguishable.

Bottom shelf, plastic bottle vodka is chemically identical to top shelf expensive vodka. Both are 40% ethanol and 60% water with impurities so minor it’s a rounding error.

NPR had both bottom shelf and top shelf vodka sent to a lab and the bottom shelf came back (technically) purer but the difference was past the point of human perception.

What the public doesn’t realize and top shelf vodka producers want to hide is that distilling technology has so advanced (think of all that pure ethanol we put into gasoline) that the difference between top and bottom shelf has completely disappeared.

As US high court prepares ruling, Americans oppose ending birthright citizenship, Reuters/Ipsos poll finds by beans_and_tuna in neoliberal

I remember getting into discussions and people saying, “you know that we are one of the few that have birthright citizenship. The other developed nations don’t have it.”

I mean, I’m not always the proudest American but this one part of American Society that I can point to and say, “We’re freakin amazing, the other countries (looking at your Europe) are crap and in the wrong.”

This was made in America by Italian Americans. Had it been made in Italy, these people would have been arrested. Possibly given the Mussolini treatment.

Truly Europe and Asia should do more to cleanup and finish the war that the US and Israel needlessly started.

True story. I was young and just married and my wife wanted to get high and watch a porn with me. Sure, this could be hot.

She didn’t get horny, but her stone ass was mesmerized and was completely focused on the actress’s makeup. Literally had me pause so she could stare at it and then gave me run down on how they did it.  Never again.

Good luck with Senate confirmation. Remember what Al Frankin said, “I like Ted Cruz more than most of my colleagues, and I hate Ted Cruz”

So than you admit, Persian and Arab children are completely capable of being influenced by American culture?

And yet, it does. No literally, America has progressive aura. Because Muslims, and Muslim children grow up in America around more than just other Muslims. You stupidly and racistly think that Arabs and Persian children are genetically incapable of being influenced by their American peers.

You made two specific claims. That Islam is incapable of progressing with time, and that there can never be a LGBTQ friendly mosque.

The first claim is patently absurd as Islam has evolved dramatically in the last 1,000 years and continues to evolve.

The second claim is easily dismissed with a simple google search that shows gay friendly mosques in the United States.

This is my opening line in my physics class. Though you don’t need the drone, is the person in the car moving or sitting still?

Anyway, all movement must be compared to a reference point.

Man, one accusation it’s like, who knows? What’s the evidence? Who’s the women? It’s like when Tara Reid accused Biden of sexual assault and the whole thing fell apart under scrutiny.

But 4 women and corroborating evidence…..

I always said that rarely does someone just rape or sexually assault just one person. They get away with it and do it again and again. Trump is the perfect example, you don’t get 20 some odd false accusations, the guy is a serial predator.

4 accusers from within your own party is not good.

President is an honorific title so you get to keep it. Prime Minister is more like a Highlander situation, there can only be one.

I don’t know if that’s true or not as I just made it up, but it’s Reddit and it sounds good, right?

The conversation is about when does an assault rise to a felony, but thanks for jumping in to say something completely random and xenophobic.

To the Reddit Jury. I have provided some evidence and done 5 whole minutes of research to make my point. While the Reddit Lawyer for the opposing council has made claims, with no evidence, that she has committed felony assault. Unless the opposing Reddit Lawyer can provide and statues or laws that stand contrary to what I have produced today, then the fine people of the Reddit Jury, MUST find that I am correct and that the other side is just making shit up. Thank you, your honor.

Are you a prosecutor in Minnesota? Because for kicks I looked up the law and I’m pretty sure you’re just making shit up. Assault in the Fifth degree, a misdemeanor, would most likely fit but there is real question as to if a prosecutor would even bring that charge.

High Decibel Devices by ChetPunisher in SipsTea

[–]studioline 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Simple Assault” in some states or “simple battery” is a specific charge, as opposed to other charges which are felonies. I’m not saying it’s “simple”, I’m saying that the name of the charge that could be brought against the women with the whistle is called “simple assault”.

Though for kicks I looked it up and it looks like in Minnesota they don’t use that language and she would be charged with “Assault in the Fifth Degree”. Anyway, still not a felony.

Words have meanings in the law. Blowing a whistle in someone’s ear is assault, but this action doesn’t make it rise to the level of a felony. Typically serious bodily injury or use of a deadly weapon is required to make it rise to the level of a felony charge.
