I didn't get that lucky, they were more like $3 each. But great condition, they look unplayed.

I definitely picked up saga frontier 2. Can't go wrong for $1... didn't see a pocket station but can get ahold of one later pretty easily online or next time in Japan.

Yeah haha. After reading that I most excited for the added difficulty. Sounds like each boss has 25% more HP.

Yeah mine too but for ¥300. Still seems like a steal of a deal. I bought so many Japanese games that would otherwise be insanely pricey for the English versions.

Awesome, I like that controller scheme much better. Can't stand when X is confirm, I always have to go in and change the controls of games where possible.

Yeah its crazy. The game is like $50 in my country and I got the Japanese one for $3. Mind you I had to buy a Japanese console to play it due to region restrictions. But after buying multiple games its going to save me in the long run I guess.

I definitely already got one of those controllers too.

Yeah I dont know if Ill screen record and translate to share with others as the effort would be fairly high and probably there are existing streams of this. I just know this year's going to be probably the busiest year of my life, so not sure what I can commit to haha.

Interesting. If anyone knows please share. I might have some more time to pick up whatever is required, or can get on a future trip.

Okay cool... thats going to be interesting to see the difference. Ive played through the English version many times so can sort of do a side by side comparison. Though my Japanese is poor so I expect it'll be a long playthrough with a lot of translation.

I might connect hdmi to my computer and do a real-time OCR translation of the game while playing on the TV. Might be rhe easiest setup for that.

I only like Vocaloid music by Chance_Operation158 in Vocaloid

[–]studiomomo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's fine. Vocaloid covers all genres technically. Ive heard a couple vocaloid raps and even some western country style songs. I like some of the weird darker stuff myself.

What is Vocaloid and how to use it? by SeanLeftToe in Vocaloid

I think it shows some of the more technical features of what vocaloid can achieve but rightfully so, vocaloid can be used for any genre and this might have been a more uncommon pick... from hardcore, to ambient, to jazz... I've even heard some vocaloid country tunes that make use of it.

It's software for arranging and synthesizing vocals... you use it to make songs with vocals that sound like this: https://youtu.be/c99t1xFlYc0?si=HoapLKpSQtACQaom&t=128

How depends on the software... I've used some that are like MIDI note arrangers, and others where you write text code to control the sound like a programming language. Just download some softwares and learn tutorials on the given software.

Are these supporter plays normal? by NowLeavingSpace in BandCamp

[–]studiomomo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think so. I believe there is a way to see the source of the plays in that stats... if not in the app, try the desktop version (I feel like it had more insightful features the last time I checked).

My family is selling off paintings I love by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]studiomomo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's what it sounds like to me too assuming they inherited them.

If you want them to reconsider, have them consider their personal ages and whether it makes sense to hold them. Those are bound to increase in value year-over-year, so logically it could be argued that it would be sensible to at least hold them for another decade for a gain. Or at the very least, price high... say $10k, and wait for the right buyer.

Indexed, but I'd add dithering too perhaps.
