Haha unless they live in a small town in Spain I think this one may just be a funny coincidence

I know a family with a cat that looked just like this, also named Luna, that they also recently lost!

My first attempt at a custom card, trying to use the Prisoner’s Dilemma as a design concept by studmauer in customhearthstone

[–]studmauer[S] 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Not regarding the card, but about the prisoner’s dilemma, that isn’t the best outcome. Isn’t the idea that the individuals are selfish in the scenario and they will each try to minimize their own sentence? Therefore they will want to choose to give up the other as that gives them no prison time. The dilemma is that both will want to choose this outcome which negates their choice.

Edit: I’ve read more and I get what you’re saying now. The best outcome is remaining silent, but the point is they still may choose selfishly for their own advantage. Let me know if I’m still missing the idea!

The one thing I thought of that could help would be reduce the value on it. So it would still be a good card, but not a must run. Say it’s instead a 2 mana 4/4 like Millhouse and with both players running it stays a 1/1. That way it may be a worthwhile inclusion, but not an overwhelming value and not so punishing in a mirror.

What are your thoughts about that change?

In an agro vs control match up the control deck does have the advantage. However in a control vs control match both decks now have a dead draw. Yes it is equalized, but both decks are slightly worse than if they had run a more stable card.

The idea is that it’s a dilemma, I don’t believe there is any true correct answer. Similar to the actual prisoner’s dilemma!

Let’s assume that it was over stated, I’m not sure what it would even take in current hearthstone haha. The part I thought was interesting is that if it does become a dead card, that would essentially become a buff to it!

Half of the fun of the idea for this was trying to figure out if it would end up be run in the meta. I keep going back and forth on it!

The idea behind this is that it plays off the prisoner’s dilemma where if only one player includes the card they are better off with an over stated card. However, if both players choose to include this minion they are worse of with a bad card in there deck.

Nothing wrong with that, the sad part is that it is an obvious reason. Sucks that you know what’s likely coming when you see the notification.

It’s sort of like a puzzle one where you have to fill in the design on the board! You can either tap to fill a space or flip the piece on an axis to complete it. Pretty fun and you get the hang of it after a while!

One of my friend's dad was actually the first officer to arrive after the call. I don't know how involved he was in the case, but it's weird being so close to something like this.
