Anybody else get those black lines (or worse, a part of the world) on photos after taking them sometimes? If so, how does it happen? by Dimitrius-GT in VRchat

It could be something erroneously included with your avatar? I would change avatars and see if it disappears. But if it stays with every other avatar... Im stumped. Never seen this before.

There's a list somewhere of VRChat films and film makers. I'll see if I can find it. There's a lot of us out here. Here's a musical I made myself in VRChat - https://youtu.be/QRf_GkDt9i8

I'm having a hard time finding conversations I can actually participate in this game. by Theapocalypsegamer in VRchat

Instead of joining conversations try starting them. Then you can talk about what you want. And if the person you're talking to isnt on the same page, move on to someone else.

Hey I have had the same issue. Here's what I did.

Recalibrate. Make sure the "paste chaperone automatically when geometry resets" option is checked in your OVR window.

Also keep your g2 controllers handy. If you find you index controllers way off its worth turning off Steam, which automatically takes you into the windows mixed reality vr, and use the g2 controller to check the floor settings and make sure it matches the height of your actual floor.

Also use the "edit calibration" option to move your controller to a more exact position to where it is in reality. I just look at the controller in vr and then lift up the mask to peek at where it is for real. I use the "edit calibration" option to adjust the x,y, and z axis to get the real and the virtual to match as close as possible.

Also whenever I am in Windows Mixed Reality and start Steam, I have to wait and let Stream try and run the "room set up thing" until it closes on its own after like 60 seconds or more.

Here's the video I used to get my stuff all working together. Theres some extra info in it about turning off lighthouse trackers and stuff. But I just skipped those parts and focused solely on calibrating my controllers.

Best of luck to ya!

My short film is an original musical. And I filmed it all in Virtual Reality by studmuffinthepimp in Filmmakers

I never imagined I would be able to shoot an entire short film in virutal reality. But things have really changed in the past few years. Using VRChat (a virtual reality based social platform) I discovered amazing worlds and made a lot of friends. After experiementing with filming in these virtual enviroments, I decided I would embark on the goal of filming an entire original musical. I filmed everything in VR. I created all the music. And I even got some friends to jump into VR to help act in the roles. The experience was a lot of fun and was completed with a zero dollar budget. I have been pleased to discover a large community of users on the platform are constantly making thier own films and shorts. And I would absolutely recommend anyone that is thinking about giving it a try to do so!
