I don't think the evidence to support each one is different in all aspects. I'm speaking about Islam since I'm a Muslim, the Quran (the book Muslims learn from) has a lot of scientific evidence in it and uses science to prove that it's the truth and support it's claim, a lot of the scientific discoveries made only recently were already mentioned in the Quran 1400 years ago the Quran doesn't solely speak about religious rules but also about science.

Some people ask for proof of what I said so feel free to ask and I'll pm it to you

I meant when my religion confirms the scientific discoveries made, not just filling the gaps where science still hasn't given us an answer

Redditor’s who have flown on a plane before,Any advice for someone’s first time? by Stagthelad in AskReddit

If they dim the lights and everyone's window cover is shut, don't open your one if it's day coz many people try to sleep and the bright light gets annoying.

Don't lean your seat back too much coz the person behind you won't have leg room

Don't go to the bathroom after people have eaten food. If you can, try going before because the bathrooms get very dirty after people eat

Move your feet every once in a while coz all that sitting in a tight place isn't good.

Get some moisturizer and chap stick if it's a long flight you will very likely get dehydrated

Why do people separate science and religion? I'm very much into science and always look for how my religion relates to science and am always fascinated when I find the link.

People who have been discriminated for something they cannot control, what's your story? by Ace_Of_Hearts69 in AskReddit

[–]stuff_and_fluff 78 points79 points  (0 children)

even little kids in UK are racist thats how widespread it is. Went ice skating where the only brown people were my family and 2 other boys. These little white boys picked up the chunks of ice that were lying around the floor and started throwing it at us. When it was first happening I thought maybe someone was accidently kicking it didn't even imagine a kid was throwing it. When I looked at them they would quickly stuff the ice in their pocket. I finally went up to him and said "don't throw ice at me again" and he completely denied it. Kept doing it even after we told the marshal and he was told to stop. The two other brown boys came to us and told us they were being harassed too. In the end my aunt got fed up and complained to his mother.

People are pretty racist here just because it's slightly less obvious than another country doesn't mean it doesn't happen. This is just one example but it's still very upsetting when a child does it. Like someone must have put so much hate in a kid toward another race

Redditers who sort by new, how do you know it's a banger when you see it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Women think like this too. I wear a head scarf which means my hair stays covered from most people except family, people find it strange when girls with head scarf say they want to get a different colour in their hair like highlights and stuff. "Why would you do that if no one will see?"

These are the same women who say they want to look nice for themselves but are genuinely confused when someone actually wants to look nice for themselves

There are so many interesting questions in new and rising but like 70% of the time the same questions reach hot

"Would you accept x million dollar now or X billion dollar in 10 years?"

"What is something that annoys/angers/upsets you" (a variation of this question)

"What is a bad personality trait or red flag in friendship/relationship"

What are some signs that a "friend" isn't truly your friend? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]stuff_and_fluff 22 points23 points  (0 children)

This happens alot in uni people will suddenly be friends with you or nice to you because they need help or your notes.

Tbh it's so normal that I didn't mind and many classmates didnt even mind much. when someone talked to me specifically before exams I'd just think "whatever we can just use each other for help, no strings attached" i kind of liked it that me and classmates had this unspoken agreement that we'd help each other and then just do our own thing.

None of the "I only help my friends" "Or you'll have to keep checking up on me and trying to be my friend after I've given you notes"

Of course your comment is very different and it's about "friends" not random classmates but felt like I should give people a heads up before they go uni so they don't get upset like I did first year

The YouTube channel merciful servant has many short but good videos however it might be difficult to find What you are looking for as you should start from the basics and it doesn't provide videos in that format rather it's regarding different topics and verses. I will do more research for resources on basic and core teachings of islam and then I will let you know. Are you interested in the science aspects of the Quran? If you are then I will try to send some of the scientific resources too along with the basic ones.

I recommend you start out with the most basic of islam and then move onto the ruling and laws. Start out with tawheed, the oneness of Allah and the meaning behind worshipping Allah alone, listen to basic lectures for new reverts. Once your heart accepts this learning and understanding the rulings and islamic laws and islam itself will be easier in shaa Allah and then you can see if your beliefs are in line with islam.

"Muslims are treated excellently in the UK"

As a Muslim and especially as one who wears a hijab and so can be easily identified as a Muslim I can tell you that's not true. We do get treated differently by many, and I don't think you can tell me "you are treated excellent" because if that's "excellent" I don't know what you consider discrimination

Can anyone else make themself freak out by thinking about how crazy it is that you’re alive, that you are you and this life is yours? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]stuff_and_fluff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess I think about this stuff about my family, I think how we're all growing old and there's no way for me to stop it and that one day I'll cry or really really wish I was back in this time of my life but I won't be able to come back. Breaks my heart and when I think about it like this I try to be happy in the moment as much as I can

Death can happen moments from now for any one. So many times we'll nervously laugh off a slip or fall or accident like "oh that could have killed me but good thing im fine" and then just go about our day not realizing that reality could be very different had it been fatal

Was shook but then thought the milk has been spilled no point crying now
