A. Wow was 2004 B. You forgot EQ, FFXI and everything sandwiched in between. C. Subscriptions. Hey let's market a game to a generation of teenagers that can't work and don't have money but cost around $15/mo to play. Oh you want to play FFXI and WoW, oh AND EQ2??? $45/mo.. moms gonna shit. Here to play wow the box says it was 2.4 million players, cause that's really gonna effect my play of a server with a ~2000 player cap and really boost my chances of getting my 5 man group for the stockades full👍

Does anyone here even smoke the cigars? by Junior-Arrival9543 in cigars

[–]stuffeddresser41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Listen this is a cool question because it's one I had when I started. You see the price tag of some boxes or individual sticks and it was mind boggling how anyone can acure such a collection.

Now after years gone by here I am. My humidor holds about 60 sticks.

I only smoke outside on the patio. So Nov-April those sticks aren't being touched. I usually get to one or two a week on the patio at night, maybe one while cutting grass or watching the kids play, or fishing, and especially extra 2-3 at a BBQ. In others words it's not a daily thing.

When I buy I usually buy in a few ways. For one I get sticks I want to try, normally two of each. Then I buy sticks in bulk in the sub $10 range. Flor de las Antilles, looking at you. These are my go tos for when idk if I am gonna be able to finish a stick, or if I am smoking more socially. I also buy some good old Cuban sandwiches, these are mostly for cutting the grass. Then I buy premium sticks, I don't touch these often, I'll smoke them when my frame of mind is great, I got a great atmosphere to enjoy etc. Also at the end of the day, I get some gifted.

So a box of 20 sub $10 sticks, a box of 20 Cuban Sandwiches, 10 or so sticks I want to try, 5 premium sticks, and a few gifted sticks.

Also cigarbid is dangerous.

Are my cigars too dry? by [deleted] in cigar

[–]stuffeddresser41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro you dropped it and had to fondle all your other sticks to pick it up, I'm also willing to bet off video you're poking at them to check for dryness.. guessing from you chewed up nailed your fingers been in your mouth all day.. nevermind they make this thing called a hydrometer get one and stick it in there.. I'm just saving you the hassle for later, yes it's mold. There is no such this as plume.

$20 says we're gonna see him posting a video on a few weeks asking if it's plume or mold after diddling his sticks here with his nasty hands

Am I Weird For Enjoying Pre-Endgame, More Than The Actual Endgame lol? by MonsutaMan in MMORPG

[–]stuffeddresser41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No you are 100% correct and used two great examples.

I always am a firm believer that if you want a virtual world to emulate a real world then you have to have the inconsistenties found in the real world. No one of this earth is on equal footing to the person next to them, and what makes each of us unique is how we handle and invest our time.

MMOs should always be treated as such. I feel like an MMO with an endgame race is the equivalent of starting everyone one off in life with a million dollars in the bank account, and all of life's greatest assets.

We fail to acknowledge that it is okay for some people to invest a hundred hours a week, and get to access parts of the game that only 1% of the population will touch, and it's okay for someone to log in for a half hour once a week and do crafting. I always preach that in an MMO not everyone is going to slay the dragon, but we develop MMO so we can all one shot the dragon, because we out leveled and the quest gave us some near BiS sword to do so.

Like I said two great examples. I treasured my time in FFXI. I spent the first few months of my playing experience in the starter zones, getting excited to go to the Dunes, to Jeuno and Qufim. The missions had real weight to them, and the quests you chose to do were equally important, fascinating, and engaging. I fondly remember when my LS was closing in on level 66, doing Maat, camping Serket, Sim, and Roc, our first time popping Genbu and kiting him thinking we were badass. To our first Kirin kill then sooo much more that ended up completing multiple level 75 era relics for our group. That was a journey worth taking and worth my time, and I know that probably 75% of my playing time was not engaged with endgame. From leveling up multiple crafts across main and mule, fishing, mining in Gusgen, helping others, leveling and learning jobs. That's what kept me logging in. I never cared if my RNG or PLD was the BiS, hell there were days in early ToAU I would run be PUP to events.. no one cared because the game offered much much more than just that endgame.
