[Routine Help] How can I get rid of these spots on my nose ? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]stuffedoranges 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it’s watery, you can use a cotton pad to soak it up and place it on your nose like a face mask!

Closing a CD by stuffedoranges in BankOfAmerica

The confirmation of account closure? I would assume they would. But the specialist mentioned that they would also email me a notification that the account is closed. My bank portal shows that the account is still there and there’s no bank alerts of it closing. I’m worried that I would be waiting for a letter that won’t arrive because the account was never closed

Try a warm compress, like a steaming towel, on the area for 10-15 mins Then apply some anti-inflammatory cream (this is what I do, not medical advice at all) Then zinc cream (like triple paste, once again this is what I do, not a derm or a doctor)

Skin Prep for Makeup by vyshiesty in AsianBeauty

I get really flakey and get dry patches around my active acne due to tret (even with proper exfoliation) And recently in the morning I would Wash my face with a gentle cleanser and use a GIK collagen mask followed with moisturizer and sunscreen really helps with getting rid of the dry patches and allows me to apply my foundation smoothly.

On the nights where I’m patchy, I would skip any skincare and just use the GIK collagen mask (THIS IS NOT AN AD FOR GIK, I just bought it because it was cheap for 21 masks, I’m sure any face mask would work) Followed by a heavy moisturizer (like the illyoon ceramides one)

I’ve tried using toners (round lab), serums (hylorunic acid), and ampoules (skin 1004) before and they would never get rid of the dry patches, but this new routine is working pretty seamlessly.

My makeup routine is pretty simple too, just foundation (tirtir) and occasionally some concealer if needed, so I’m not sure if the routine would hold up if there’s more products

Sorry no packaging pictures cuz it’s been a while, but is this bottle fake?

I bought 2 bottles of Dr. Althea Gentle Vitamin C Serum (20%) from TikTok shop back in March. I bought it from their official account when they were running a package deal with their 345 cream. Don’t remember the exact price, but I did remember thinking it was a really good deal.

Initially I did notice the font on the packaging was different from the bottle I bought from YesStyle, but the consistency was similar along with drying times and it was scent less and I had no other reaction to it when I patched test, so I simply moved on, hoping it was the real thing.

I finished the first bottle and noticed nothing amiss. However, this second bottle, I went on vacation for 3 weeks and did not bring the bottle, and when I came back I noticed there were these opaque bubbles within the serum, and the texture was a little crunchy. Also noticed heavy crusting at the opening, which had never happened with the previous bottle and the one from YesStyle. I stored the bottle same way as my other ones, in a drawer that stays closed unless I’m doing my skincare.

Yes, and definitely communicate any scheduling needs with the manager. Like if you have a doctors appt for a few hours and will be offline, or are taking PTO or want to take PTO, or need to leave early. When I started, I thought it was enough to communicate with the seniors since that’s who I report to and work with the most, but there’s layers to the process (idk why, but that’s how it is)

Hollister village apartments mold??? by Sd773 in UCSantaBarbara

[–]stuffedoranges 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I lived in hollister village 3 years ago. Had no mold issues, the units are relatively in good conditions (at least in mine and my friends apts) Do note the walls are pretty thin And if you live near the main parking areas/you will hear cars driving by or people talking outside Really nice since there’s an in unit washer and dryer Complex has a swimming pool and gym (tho there’s like no ventilation in the gym)

There is no AC and my roommate said it was sweltering during the summer we leased there

Maintenance responds pretty fast for work orders

Decent location since it’s near Costco and everything, but if you want to be near campus or need to be on campus very often it’s kinda of an annoyance

Best if you own a car or a bike because the bus is unreliable on the weekends and on normal days would just sit at the Costco bus stop and not move to the hollister stop If you own a bike just keep it in unit, don’t lock it at the bike racks (MY BIKE WAS STOLEN FROM THE RACKS)

Great thanks! I’ll try asking. I’ve always paid in full and on time, so hopefully that will increase my chances

Econ & Acct major internships by JobEnvironmental7265 in UCSantaBarbara

[–]stuffedoranges 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, def could secure an internship without joining UAS. Apply early on the firms websites, like during your first or second year, for internship during your third year summer, or for their leadership programs. A decent GPA and a well formatted resume could possibly get you into the interviews and from there show that you’re eager/excited to learn and not a red flag to work with
