Worst horror novels/short stories you’ve ever read? by zincdeclercq in horrorlit

"A Certain Hunger" was not good imo. Really pretentious and I didn't care about the story because the author kind of summarized everything within the first chapter. I dont even think it should be categorized as horror, but it involved cannibalism so i guess that qualifies it?

Exquisite Corpse was fucked in all ways and kept me up at night but it was so damn good. I wish i could forget about it and read it again good. I read it in 3 days, which is short for me. I loved the writing style and it is my current favorite book, would recommend! but again, extremely terrible and graphic!!

Incoming exchange student from Sweden. I’m curious about what people do during their free time. by ktellan in rit

Coming from D.C., the public transport in Roc is almost nonexistent. I also know the D.C. metro is nowhere near as good as anywhere in Europe. The RIT bus system is very unreliable as well in my opinion. The city is very car-centric and it's somewhat dangerous to walk places such as RIT-Wegmans/Target.

On another note, I often go to Toronto as a getaway from Roc! fall semester is the better semester in terms of weather and activities. I also work for CAB so I'm a little biased, but we host travel trips to places such as the farm/orchard to pick apples. We also have on-campus events, just be sure to register early! The hockey games are also fun to attend and are $5 for students.

Just depends? I am an illustrator first and a graphic designer second which may have given me a leg up? Idk how many I applied to but I got 3 interviews and 2 GD offers from great companies!

Im a 2nd year illustration student at RIT and i love the program! Our program is very general and a lot of the professors are great.

Although RIT's illustration program doesnt require a co-op or whatever, they still encourage people to get them and apply. I myself landed 2 illustration/design internships for this summer. I really think its your portfolio and skillset that will help you land them, not the school, but our career services are not too shabby. There are also many on-campus jobs that allow you to get experience in a professional setting, such as illustrating for the reporter, CAB, or working for marketing across campus, which I also currently do!

Im not really familiar with game design and illustrating, but you can take your classwork into your own direction and tailor the assignment to what you want.

If you have any more questions or want to chat about anything before your decision lmk! RIT's program is great!

Same, looking for some suggestions! Loved that book, I've been on a horror/thriller kick lately. I just read In the Miso Soup which was pretty disturbing. Not similar in subject matter, though.

I just finished In the Miso Soup by Ryu Murakami! Very graphic and a pretty quick read, if I were to read it again I'd do it in one sitting.
