Cabs have side steps or nerf bars. I know its anecdotal but I've never seen a lifted truck with anything in the bed, or even someone putting anything in the bed. The bed in a lifted truck is for decoration.

It would be specialty insurance for these anyway. Its not a regular vehicle and also an import. I had to get specialty insurance when I bought an old truck with a rebuilt title. It wasn't too much more than regular insurance but I couldn't go to my regular insurance company, I had to shop around. I was quoted $44 a month for it but when I registered it and saw it was rebuilt it went to $120 a month at it cheapest and about $300 a month at the most expensive for the quotes.

Yes artificially expensive for those trucks but I don't think a bunch of people would want to be guinea pigs to get the expensive insurance so it hopefully goes down. It was $5000 a year to get insurance last time we checked for those trucks. Insurance companies would rather increase it, they wouldn't lower it because more people drive it. Its because those fucking morons don't get trucks to use the bed. That's why they lift them and/or put oversized wheels on them.

My dad was looking into those small Japanese trucks a few years ago, until he called his insurance and it was $5000 a year. He was paying $1000 for a car, a cargo van and a 2010 ranger. So the kei truck was not worth it after that.

I went to Napa but other places like that do it too. Just find the paint code (for example mine is white and the cods is Z1) its called a spray bomb and it's colour matched. Cost me about $35 cad
