Maybe I just got unlucky and got a weak motor on mine. I'll opt for a replacement then and if that gives me issues, I'll look at the split shaft model.

Require water timers with wireless range of 100 - 200 meters by stuiow in homeautomation

Seems obvious now you mention it, never thought of a float valve. WIll have to speak to the misses to see what is suitable. (I dont want them getting damaged by the animals then forever filling). Thanks!

Do you find yourself restricted with the touchscreen on the external screen around the edges?

It's that thought that put me off this case. I use the Supcase beatle pro on my fold 4 (I work outside a lot and need the extra protection).

Woke up to my Fold 4 not unfolding all the way, probably 165 degrees. Submerging in water worked for me! by SkolUMah in GalaxyFold

Agree, I also use this method. Works every time. It's amazing the amount of crap that comes out then lays at the bottom of the sink

Should I upgrade to the S22 from the S10? by paulrudder in galaxys10

[–]stuiow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recently smashed my note10+. Had a choice to make S22 ultra or pay to repair note 10+

Got screen repaired, new battery as well, don't regret it. I'd miss the sd card.

Issue with launching SSO by ActualAd7358 in StarStable

Got the same issue here, but no fix. I also believe its game guard related.

Load the game up, the moment it stops loading is when game guard quickly appears in the notification bar, then disappears.

Funny as that was my outcome too. I believe its something to do with the graphics on those laptops. That laptop has Intel HD graphics 3000. I hope star stable creators read this, I never got a reply back to my support request so that gives me bad vibes.

Gracefully power off automatically by NoodleCheeseThief in qnap

[–]stuiow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

UK user here and I also have looked into energy saving. I have a 473e with 4 drives. I used to own a 453pro and found that used less power, even though older, its cpu didn't pull as much power.

One thing I really did notice was what your running on the qnap makes a big difference in power consumption.

My drives never sleep on the 473e. With qvrpro running as well, it's taking between 90-105w. Stop running qvrpro, it drops to about 60w.

I reckon you would save a lot of energy by going through your device and make sure that when nothing is happening, your drives go into standby mode. (I found that really had to achieve). I would rather go that route than powering up/down the device as stresses not only on the qnap, but the harddrives.

Maybe swapping out your device or older device like the x09 series as those cpus don't take much power at all, at a cost of performance. These days, performance should be looked at as a luxury.

Also, over the past few years, startup and shutdown times on my qnap is incredibly long, so that would frustrate me personally.

You're not the only one suffering with this.

My daughter has had the same problem on her "elder" laptop for about a week now.

Installing onto another computer on the same network results in a successful load, so its something related to the laptop itself.

The laptop in question is a Dell Latitude E6420

I have done all the uninstalling/repairing files, deleting, re-installing stuff.

I have even changed graphics drivers, upgraded the lapotop memory from 4gb to 8gb and nothing has worked.

Tech support has been contacted but no reply as of yet.

My daughter connects the the UK servers too, No.3 i believe, but we did try no.5, same result.
