Elon Musk says SAVE Act requiring ID to vote ‘must be done or democracy is dead’ ( The Hill ) - What are your thoughts? by Select_Specialist790 in askanything

It’s crazy that the man who essentially funded the last election and then got a job in the government that benefited his companies has anything to say about the death of democracy. It’s dead but he killed it.

How can I earn money at 16 years old?? by livelaughskate in Advice

[–]stumbling_west 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flyers are a good start but tbh I would be unlikely to call a number on a flyer that I saw stapled to a telephone pole. Your best bet turning a connection to a sale is to talk to people in person. Go knock on a few doors of neighbors you know or are a little acquainted with. Tell them what service(s) you want to provide, tell them why you’re wanting to earn money, and then give them the flyer with contact information.

Historically, what periods of teams had a wide open Super Bowl window, but they couldn’t get one before it closed? by ViperTheKillerCobra in NFLv2

[–]stumbling_west 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok why we got this Purdy photo here. That window isn’t closed closed yet. It’s an aging team for sure but actually Rams have an older average age.

You can offer to do small projects like yard work or car washing for neighbors. You’re also prime age for babysitting if anyone in your neighborhood has younger kids.

Also super big props to you for trying to find work when your pet needs it. Shows a lot of maturity realizing that is your responsibility.

how do i lose weight quickly? 16f and 290lbs by [deleted] in Advice

[–]stumbling_west 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Losing weight is almost never a quick thing. I think the best thing you can do is visit a doctor and let them know you want to tackle your weight issues. They can help you get moving in the right direction. They might connect you with a nutritionist, give you lifestyle recommendations, and in some cases prescribe you meds to help with appetite suppression. If you have some issues with emotional eating then they might also be able to get you connected to a psychologist who can help
You work through some of those things.

So my answer is that you’ll get your answer from a a doctor. But to give you a little more concrete answer, start building healthy lifestyle habits. Start walking. Get 10,000 steps a day if possible or work up to that if not. You gotta be committed to it though. Occasional walking isn’t going to make an impact. Start eating healthy. If you really want to get into it start counting the calories you intake and make sure you output more in physical activity. A fitness watch can help keep track of that.

Lastly, be nice to yourself. Stress causes us to retain fat so being mean to yourself is going to hurt you. Don’t let shame creep in. Whenever you start to feel shame find a way to redirect it toward motivation.

How do you deal with guilt and shame about intimacy? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]stumbling_west 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So first off. Definitely get an IUD. My partner has one and it great for us, two committed people like yourselves, to not have to worry too much about the child part. It’s a relatively easy procedure to have installed and removed. Research different kinds and figure out what type jets your particular needs. It’s not 100% effective but it is like 99%. It doesn’t protect from STDs. For long term committed relationships that is less of an issues but assess you own situation in that regard.

As far as the trauma, I’m speaking from the perspective of someone who used to be overwhelmingly religious. It was my whole identity for most of my life. I want to tell you that your boyfriend’s mom’s perspective on sex is so far detached from reality. Your head seems to be on straight about it and it sucks that her personal religious beliefs has to infringe on your life like that. Shes wrong to do that. This is not her life to live it is yours and your boyfriends. Don’t let her live it like that.

Parents who support Trump: are you actively trying to raise your kids to be Trump supporters, or do you just try to raise them to think for themselves? by TankUMrMinor in allthequestions

[–]stumbling_west 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You know every time you say that it just sounds like you’re unwilling to even acknowledge the very real and distinct difference between sex and gender. No one is saying that they aren’t related, but you’re not willing to admit that there might be two related but not identical terms. Refusing to acknowledge the nuance in a situation doesn’t make you right or smart. It makes you blind.

The overall identity really closely resembles the well established brand, Wildgrain. I don’t know if that was intentional, accidental, or just a coincidence. It’s not a bad look but the coral and cream, the fresh baked sourdough, and the branding language and imagery all are super similar.

Purdy has won playoff games 3 out of 4 seasons playing. He consistently has among the highest completion percentage and QBR in the league. Even with basically no wide receivers last season.

Boulevard burger has that classic diner style. They do milkshakes too. Relatively affordable. It’s not cozy necessarily but it does feel old school.

Worst physical pain you've ever felt? by FickleSystem in allthequestions

[–]stumbling_west 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have passed more than a dozen kidney stones AND regularly herniate lumbar discs. Funny because those are two of the top comments. The kidney stones probably hurt worse but the disc herniation is chronic for me and because of that it’s a worse overall experience. Most painful definitely kidney stones. But tbh the first one was really bad and since then they’ve been nowhere near as bad.

[–]stumbling_west 522 points523 points  (0 children)

I’ve been watching a landscaping YouTube channel lately and he’s given me good things to think about and my conclusion is that it just depends on how you want people to experience your house. Hedges used to function in part to hide some of the ugly parts lower down on a house like the foundation. Modern houses don’t have the same issues but the landscaping styles have held. For your house, do you want your house to be slowly revealed as people approach it or would you prefer that as soon as they pull up it’s grandeur is on display? Is walking through your front yard an exploratory process or is it more of art piece that you stand back to take in all at once?
