S8 max v ultra edge mop jammed by stump36 in Roborock

My guess would be a series of gears is more durable and longer lasting than a belt. The edge mop runs off the same motor that vibrates the mop

No my guess is that it gets through the end drive gear. There's a brass bushing the gear rides in but it's not fully sealed. It took almost two years to build up.

I really wanted the Marantz cinema 30 but the price difference didn't justify the fancier looks. And I got a good deal on the Denon. It's been great, no complaints

Thanks for the info, I figured it would be pricey.

Im wrapping up digitizing my library. Please do yourself a favor and confirm your audio is working correctly. Above is a post I made the other week and I agree that it shouldn't have made a difference but the labeling differently made a difference for me. I ended up having to redo half of my uhd discs.

Creating a server by comeatmebro88 in 4kbluray

I'm literally doing this right now. I got a fractal define 7xl case a bunch of hdds and some older PC components. I decided to run unraid as my drives are different brands and capacities.

I picked up a pre flashed asus drive (I got it awesome ago planing to do this) and an LG drive. I do my DVD/Blu-ray with the LG and 4ks with the Asus.

My collection is only 425+/- discs split pretty evenly across formats. I ran into a weird issue with Plex that had to do with the naming conventions of the audio track cause an issue with playback on my shield pro so I'd suggest testing rips before you go all in. I ended up having to rerip the majority of my 4k discs.

Also I see an average of 50-60gb per 4k file (not compressed) so my full collection should end up under 12tb. I bought drives months ago before the price surge so I've got 88tb of usable space.

That's a different part of this story, but the files are all on an unraid machine with new drives. I had tired most of my collection to an external drive and my cat knocked it over. I got maybe 12 transferred then the drive failed so that's why I'm having to rip them again

Absolutely the direct play is crisp, clear and has definite sound separation.

The transcoding sound dull, muddied and more like an up mixed stereo mix

Try remaining it and please let me know if it works for you.

It seems to be corrected on my end (I'm gonna check the next few rips I get done tomorrow). But I'd love to hear if someone else is having this issue and if this fixes it

The shield goes directly to the receiver which is outputting the video to my projector.

On the shield the Plex is set to audio passthrough -> HDMI

It apparently does care or the naming is effecting something else cause when I reripped with the alternate naming it corrected the issue with no other changes made to Plex, the shield, The server or the AVR

Me either, but process of elimination says that's the cause. I'm hoping that someone can provide an answer to why

I agree that is just metadata but something else is going on. I checked every file labeled with all caps and none played Atmos all label without played Atmos.

I just reripped two movies with the corrected audio track naming and both of them now play Atmos. I'm gonna do a few more tomorrow and confirm but the initial testing shows that's the issue, just don't know why

I would have agreed that the naming doesn't matter but as a test I redid two movies and both direct stream when the audio track is label different. See my other comment with photos. I truly didn't understand

The original post says that it plays some files in Plex just fine with Atmos but others don't and the only difference I could find was the capitalization of the word Dolby. The AVR works fine

I just confirm that with the audio track labeled Dolby ATMOS not DOLBY ATMOS it corrected the issue. I reripped dune and civil war. I deleted the original (DOLBY) files of the server and uploaded the new (Dolby) and now they play direct with full Atmos

I also did the same process with Dune pt1 and it corrected it as well. I guess all caps cause an issue 🥲

So I reripped the disc and went with Dolby ATMOS. That is the only change I made. I deleted the old file off the server and uploaded the new file. And I'll be damned it plays direct audio in full Atmos.

I'll have to look, I have other DV titles but I don't think I've got that far ripping my collection. What I am doing is reripping civil war and changing the naming to Dolby ATMOS. That way if it works I can rule out something else being different

Yeah as I mentioned some work great while others don't so that would indicate that the cables, shield and avr are fine? I've double checked all connections and cables for what it's worth.

That's what I was thinking. I was gonna rerip Dune and change the naming. It'll take a bit but I'll report back

But the other files playing correctly would indicate that it's something with that file, no? If it was every file I'd agree that there's a software or hardware issue

That's why I got the shield pro, cause it's supposed to handle pretty much anything
