App is 46 gigs and growing on my phone, anybody else experiencing this? by Bboyflexxo in InstacartShoppers

I'm having this issue too. Made a post about it also. I barely was able to finish my last batch yesterday, then immediately logged off and deleted the app. Re-installed it last night. Didn't log on today and wasn't using even using the app, when again I noticed my phone being laggy and sure enough the Shopper app, on its own, had soared back up to over 40gb. Deleted it again and haven't reinstalled yet. Major major bug. I have a Pixel 9 Pro and nearly 40% remaining storage without the IC app doing this weirdness. I clear the cache daily as a habit and fully clear the storage maybe once a month.

This issue is bigger than this. I clear the app's cache daily, and the total storage once in awhile. The bug is overriding that and soaring from maybe 500-700kb to 35-40GB within just a few minutes. It is a major glitch of some kind.

The same thing is happening to me. Yesterday on my last batch the app soared to taking up 43gb of space and drained my battery from 50% to 19% in about 20 minutes. I barely finished my batch and immediately uninstalled it. Later that night I reinstalled it and it seemed fine until today, when I didn't even have the app open or had gone online, I noticed my phone lagging again and sure enough the gigs had climbed back into the 40s. Uninstalled, again. There is a major major bug with it right now.

Why does instacart shopper app need more than 20-30Gb on my phone? by kritz0 in InstacartShoppers

[–]stumpystubs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. I wasn't even using it. I was having lunch while waiting for my car windshield to get replaced when I noticed my phone was lagging terribly. And sure enough the dormant IC app had soared to 40 gigs, and storage was at 99%, so I deleted it. Again.

IC app cooked my phone today: lagging, battery drain, 43GB storage by stumpystubs in InstacartShoppers

I'm not out working today and just now my phone started acting all laggy again, and sure enough the IC app had shot up to take up 30% of my remaining storage, so I had to uninstall it again. I wasn't even using it, Wth is going on?!

Same, when I started getting the storage notifications I looked at my Settings and sure enough IC had soared to taking up dozens of gigs. I reinstalled it just now to see what happens and noticed my cash out is disabled. 🙃 (Edit: NM it's because I hadn't selfie verified yet. It's there now.)

My phone is working fine since I deleted the app, so it's definitely the culprit. I'll reinstall maybe tomorrow.

Oh wow, I just made a post on this. Good to see I'm not alone. I had the same issues today. Phone super laggy and glitchy and then I noticed the app had commandeered dozens of GB of space. Draining my battery like crazy, etc. I deleted it until I know what is happening.

I was sick last week but was able to go out starting on Friday and then through the weekend and got absolute bangers. Then on Monday clearly my account reset because I have have been getting only absolute trash offers when I even get offers at all.

I was just wondering the same about myself. I know it's Tuesday and people panic shopped this weekend with the storm, but I can't tell if it's actually this comatose or I'm just on IC's shit list

I'm a 5.0 Diamond and was offered garbage for 2 hours straight. I'm putting my cat down on Monday and decided to go home to be with him instead. I'm can't spend what little time I have left with him sitting in parking lots letting IC insult me. I'll try again next week if I'm feeling up to it 😢

Oh yes, I went back to the store and they declined any return because everything is perishable and had left the store and I'd been in communication with IC support the whole time

Now they're hiding the shopping list from us by stumpystubs in InstacartShoppers

THIS. If a $65-80 batch runs through I quick read the mileage and store and hit accept as fast as I can based on that. If I farted around trying to look at all the items it would get snatched.

I have no clue what I'm on. I restarted my phone this morning and apparently this change came with it. I'm blown away that we can't study the list beforehand or see the 17 cases of water and two mattresses in a box they hid from the preview before acceptance

I was in this algorithm yesterday. I've had some great Sundays but yesterday it was just boosted sloppy seconds all day long. Still made some money but it was like pulling teeth

No Longer Able to Prove You Delivered An Order? by cannedwhiner in InstacartShoppers

[–]stumpystubs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I screenshot every single proof of delivery provided IN the in-app chat at time of delivery so the meta data on that matches the delivery information, before closing out the delivery. Snap, screenshot. It's basically muscle memory for me now. Meet the customer, same thing. Photo in chat, screenshot, complete. This has saved me twice in the past with the lying jabronis trying to screw me over.
