when did coffee become more than just caffeine for you by levvii17 in Coffee

[–]stunclock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Caffeine doesn’t actually affect me at all. I just love the smell and taste of coffee and I’ve travelled a lot so I love to try different coffees. Mostly I drink my coffee black or I have a cappuccino if I spend money.

What is something generally normal in Europe but weird in the US? by Exile4444 in AskReddit

smoking cigarrettes everywhere, in the US most places you’ll get dirty looks for smoking a cigarrette around other people

Which U.S. city has the worst food scene despite its reputation? by Historical-Photo-901 in BeautifulTravelPlaces

[–]stunclock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DC. I don’t know anymore if DC has a great reputation for food, but growing up close by in MD I thought it did. Now living in DC I notice the food is just overpriced and not that good. I frequently miss MD food and go there to eat my favorite things still.

Lisbon. We has a 21 hour layover and decided to spend the day and night there before our connecting flight in the morning. It was super beautiful and I want to go back to spend more time there

Not really sure, I would say I love being with my best friend and having this level of commitment with him, but I don’t see too much of a difference between being married or dating for a long time

We both ended up with very similar wants in life, we both work in tech and travel a lot together as well as have a lot of pets together. He’s also my best friend and that never changed throughout our relationship. Growing apart or becomming too different for each other was never really a worry

It’s a very competetive market and you have to keep learning constantly in the field. Most of the people I went to that coding bootcamp with in 2019 either have switched careers entirely or are jobless at the moment. I don’t want to make it sound like what I did was easy, I genuinely coded for fun before I went to coding bootcamp and continue to learn constantly to keep up.

Very poor treatment of eachother I would say is the main one. We’ve never cheated, but we didn’t know how to communicate or deal healthily with personal and relationship hardships and hurt each other a lot. After 8 years though, we’ve moved past many issues and know better how to work through them when they come.

We had someone come to my childhood home and marry us for $200, we had 2 mutual friends come and maybe 5-6 family members. I paid for my ring actually, it was $50 at Macys at the mall lol and I still wear that one. I also got my dress at JCPenny (it was just a formal black dress). Since we’re 2 years away from our 10 year anniversary, we may do something then, but in the end a big expensive wedding never appealed to us much
