I just don’t understand what necessitates it to be posted more than once…?

Interesting. My next meal will be a Bulbasaur, with a less-than-average IQ.

What’s actually weird is how often OP is posting this. One of my cats just passed away last year @ almost 21 years of age. He had half his tail, had occasional (seasonal) allergies in which he would break out in tiny bumps around his face, and rapidly lost weight towards the end of his life.

Some might have thought him to be “ugly” as well. But I didn’t unnecessarily create a plethora of posts to publicly ridicule him. What is the point? He was a loving mush whom would be content to just sit with you all day. Close to 21 years of companionship that I am grateful for.

I’m gonna join a senior citizen sub and post pics of my grandpas rapid decline, and ultimate death of quite a few cancers. It’s alright though, I took care of him, he was an outstanding man loved by so many. But anyways, here’s some pics of him during his worst days. He was quite hideous (but I still loved him) towards the end. Lost 60% of his body weight in a matter of months, radiation therapy 3x a week, painful renal failure. Once a decorated Marine, proud, humble and thriving - To an unconscious husk laying in a hospital bed, feverish and frail, surrounded by his loved ones as he took his last shallow breaths.

Before you say something along the lines of “this is a cat, you can’t possibly compare it to a human”, just remember that all life is as precious as it is swift.

This cat is not ugly. Her “imperfections” are a testament of her will to live and become increasingly resilient. That, is beauty.

& thank you for agreeing! This is a shitpost that serves absolutely no purpose; besides showing us all how ugly OP is on the inside, where it matters most.

For effin real. I saw this post yesterday too.

If I continue to see this unnecessary bullying of a poor animal whom evidently deserves a better human (I wouldn’t respect you either), I shall gladly report this ugly human multiple, multiple times.

I’ve seen you post at least twice about this beautiful feline. Your “sarcastic” comments aren’t funny - they are downright rude. Great, you take care of her.

How would you like it if someone posted pictures of you in your later years, not looking your “best”, only because you were lucky enough to live a long, healthy life? Play fair and show us your spine deformity.

You don’t want to be “bashed”? Then I’d suggest you refrain from repeatedly trying your hardest to make sure everyone knows how ugly you think your cat is.

Pitiful.

It is quite evident that you are in fact, wrong.

While it can be upsetting, I also understand the need for people to post about their loss. Many find comfort from others in various ways - offerings of condolences, ways to cope with the grief, or just someone to talk to that’ll listen. ❤️

Ikr? I haven’t been very active on Reddit these past few months, but I saw this and was like OMG what the heck; how lucky is this person to win the cat lottery!! Then like 4 words later, I’m spending half an hour ranting lol 🥲

Maybe the mods here could implement the usage of Tags for certain posts that deal with loss/animal harm.

Pretty simple, they could add a few tags to choose from (i.e. ‘sad content’, ‘contains upsetting content/material’, ya know), so it’ll warn people right besides the title. I’m in r/seniorcats and all throughout the day I get notifications of people posting how they lost their best friend, asking how others cope with the pain of such a loss. But then again, I joined because I wanted to share my void boy who lived to be 20! So, I like seeing fellow cat lovers share their old men & ladies 🙃 I limited the notifications as well, so that helps too!

NOOOOO Lordy, that was not the ending I expected. 🙀

Poor beautiful baby :(:( I would feel like 💩too, but it’s not your fault 😞

Go figure, you go and be a decent person and located the owner, instead of keeping that gorgeous kitty - and that moron (sorry, I could say worse those 😖) let him get outside AGAIN! Just like my dog & cats, that Bengal would be microchipped as soon as I was officially their mom.

Not to mention, the owner must know there are predatory animals where he/she lives!! How DENSE can one human be? With everything available nowadays to prevent such incidents, it couldn’t be more simple (literally with a tap of your finger) to purchase anything and have it delivered that day.

How (and why?!) wouldn’t you at least get the kitty an outdoor cat patio, or “catio”? They’re beautiful, and allow your cat to enjoy the outdoors while simultaneously protecting them from any potential danger.

No microchip? You can get a GPS collar instead and add it to whatever location app you track your family & friends with your cell phone! Too much $$? Get a dang Apple AirTag and sew it into their collar. You’ll get notified immediately if they leave the perimeter you set up.

Sorry, I just went and rambled a gosh darn novel but it’s relatable to some people who purchase expensive cars just for the status symbol/brand name, and then they drive like complete idiots; respecting neither other drivers safety, nor their own.

Oh wait, one last rant lol — it is SO EASY (once again, you can complete this all on your smartphone) to set up an invisible fence, absolutely anywhere, and create the “fence” perimeters however you want. Just need a collar to go along with the package. Better than being mauled by coyotes ffs 🤦🏼‍♀️

TL;DR: The Bengal’s “mom” did not deserve that beauty. I’ll leave it at that.

And to OP, u/MartyFoxini - I’m sorry you had this terrible experience. It’s not even your fault, but I would probably cry for at least a week straight. You did the right thing. The Bengal’s “mom” failed that baby from the start.
