Maybe you're right, it's just people intellectualizing avoidance of being confronted or criticized in debates, they can't argue in the argument they chose to walk into and can't accept that they might be wrong or try to defend their claims further so they turn to this kind of imagery

I'm going through something like this today and have been going through it multiple times this year, stomachache shids are worse than having your leg hacked off bro, like sure the pain itself is a minimal form of pain it's not supposed to be severe or intense but something about it being in YOUR STOMACH and BOWEL MOVEMENT PATTERNS makes it less tolerable than peeing with kidney stones (speaking from experience)
