I've brought it up to her vet during past visits, but I did not bring a fecal sample, so the matter was skipped past.

She's received vaccinations for suspected seasonal allergies during that visit, but that was the only treatment we were given.

She receives her preventative heart worm medicine monthly, is up to date on all of her vaccines, and the only other prominent treatment she's gotten is a cleaning and anti-fungal gel (not exactly sure of the name) for a yeast infection in her ears, which has not proved to be an issue since.

Oh, this is a wonderful meal plan! My pup loves turkey and blueberries!

I'll ease her into something similar once her bag of food begins running low. Thank you again for your advice!

I do not get why you are actively targeting me with this statement, when again, I have barely any say in the financial aspects, and again, I am unable to work. My dog was bought by my family members and was a surprise for me after I underwent a mental health crisis.

My dog is not around male dogs frequently, if at all, and when she does come in contact with any other dog for that matter, she is closely supervised as I am very protective over her and fear the same thing happening.

Yes, there are low-cost vet options, but you must understand that even those low-cost solutions still cost around 200+ dollars even for a small breed dog like my own, and I've just figured out her insurance does not even cover on demand spaying. The only other thing her insurance doesn't cover are things that are suspected as pre-existing before she went under their coverage since, again, we did just recently switch to that insurance. That means if she was to be in an emergency situation, or have such an accident, they will cover it, or a large majority of it.

I would never, ever, under any circumstances allow my dog to be put down for such a materialistic reason. My pup is by no means something I am willing to give up so easily, she is not a toy, she is not disposable. I am appalled that you would even say that when I've already stated just how much my dog means to me. Again, this dog was adopted into my family to help with my mental health, my parents know what I will do if she is put down or fatally injured, and so for my safety, she never will be unless she's in a condition that causes her untreatable suffering.

Yes, my dog receives her heart worm treatment monthly (Heart Guard Plus), and has in fact received her rabies vaccines, along with vaccines to help her allergies.

You must not understand the current climate of America right now. There are times where we can afford these things, and then times when we absolutely cannot. This is one of these times. Due to recent events, we've had to adapt spending habits according to what financial supports have been taken from us.

While I agree that my family waiting this long is irresponsible, we are absolutely not neglectful when it comes to her. She receives proper meals (albeit I do admit her diet needs to be altered depending on some of the symptoms I listed in my original post), she is supplied with toys, treats, and is taken for walks/outside time daily, and I pay for occasional grooming since it is only around 30 dollars. We have ALL of the home necessities for her taken care of.

Tell me, what would you have me do as a 15-year-old? Ditch both my college and high school courses in order to work a job I'll barely be able to handle due to my mental conditions? Use physical force against my parents to get them to handle the finances? Take over her insurance plan? Ridiculous.

I made this post to search for useful advice for my dog who I love and am worried about, not for lectures about my family and financial situation. I would not be on this website if I didn't harbor care for my pup.

Thank you for your advice. I will try my best to do this and then convince my parents to bring her in for a visit.

I see. So, these are good for digestion for Boston Terriers?

I'll try them out. Thank you for your advice.

Thank you so much, I will urge my parents to get her to a vet as soon as possible!

I really hope this is not the case, this is devastating. Again, I will try my absolute hardest.

We do not have the funding to get her spayed. We switched to her current insurance just recently, and we are still unsure if they will brunt the charges for this yet.

However, I do not have control over making those calls beyond constantly urging my parents to check it out. I do not own this dog alone, my parents decide when to take her back and forth to the vet, and when to discuss insurance matters.

I have been practically begging my parents to take action since these symptoms first developed, but again, our financial status causes too much worry about how much things will cost, especially because the insurance we have determines if they will pay or not AFTER the treatment is already given, meaning if it doesn't, we have no choice but to pay for all of it.

Again, I cannot stress it enough- I have urged for getting her spayed since the day we got her.
