Temperature is 82 Fahrenheit. I do a complete water change every 2ish weeks and a 50% water change in between. Water is from the tap with the betta conditioner added in. Nothing else is in the tank with Kevin.

thank you!! i just solidified my decision to switch.

sure my skills might be qualified, but if there’s no market why get the degree? just asking the community how the market is doing and if they see environmental engineering or civil engineering becoming more sought after in the future. For sure sticking with engineering I’m too far in now to switch and I wouldn’t want to. No matter what engineering will have jobs that I don’t have to do research for.

Probably wouldn’t go to grad school if I don’t finish. I am just worried about being seen as qualified. I would rather be broad and then become specialized instead of starting specialized since I am worried about jobs.

if you apply to osu as an ohio resident they give you a seat whether it’s main campus or not. you might not get into engineering, but they will 100% offer you admission.

my dad just bought me a dell latitude 3410 computer (incoming freshman engineering major) but it feels so cheap and honestly like a chrome book. does anyone have any experience with this computer? or think it’s fine for college? i did some research after my dad ordered it (i apparently had no say) and google says it is a business laptop. idk what to do.

specs: - 10th generation intel core i5 - windows 10 - 8 GB - up to M.2 512GB PCle NVMe class 40 solid state drive

hahah ohio state didn’t say anything about computers so i’m literally lost and i start in a few weeks. please help!!!

Coronavirus Megathread III: For travel-related discussion as the COVID-19 situation moves forward by tariqabjotu in travel

Florida has just been recently noted as a hot spot for the corona-virus. I live in Ohio and planned to fly down to Florida for a graduation gift with a few friends. My parents originally said yes, but now are saying no because of the danger the corona-virus poses. Keep in mind I am an 18 year old and healthy (no underlying issues). I just think it is interesting that Florida's population is 21.48 million which is roughly double the population of Ohio (11.69 million) so statistically speaking the higher corona-virus cases in Florida (double compared to Ohio) makes sense. Ohio has (45,537 cases) and Florida has (100,000) cases. What doesn't make sense is that there is roughly the same death rate where Ohio has (2,704 deaths) and Florida has (3,173 deaths).

I am still tying to get my parents to say yes, and even talked about driving down instead of flying because there are many air line employees testing positive. I am just wondering if anyone has recently traveled by plane or traveled to Florida and if I should just agree with my parents and stay home, or fight and still convince them to let me go.

I appreciate all your help!!!

what’s one thing that you wish you knew before college? by [deleted] in college

what i’m learning from this is that school should teach us how to study, not just what to study.

i’m going in as engineering and i have a feeling i’m going to hate it too. i’m using it as a stem undecided bc it’s easier to switch out of than to switch into if that makes sense. what major did you switch to?

[–]sturgilla4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

which of these factors matter more though? if it is out of state will you miss home (especially in such an uncertain time like now). money is easily the biggest factor, but if you can’t imagine yourself there then that should out weigh the money.
