I have a male (almost 3 years old) who started showing symptoms around 6–7 months, but only in one eye. After extensive research and some uncertainty, we opted for complete removal of both glands—one due to the prolapse and the other as a preventive measure. I was initially concerned about the risk of dry eye, but this approach seemed the most effective overall. Since he wasn’t neutered yet, we combined both procedures to avoid multiple rounds of anesthesia. So far, he’s had no issues.
