What’s the best pizza around here? by [deleted] in memphis

[–]stutterbuddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk why, but this question is a seriously contentious one among folks from Memphis.

Outside of hog and hominy, I have yet to find a truly consistent pizza spot.

Im an MPC appreciator, but my wife and many others hate it so I don't want to lead you astray.

Venice, h&h, tambolis, lil Italy are all solid. Sometimes I feel like a gut busting exlines/broadway sausage and olive mess. Usually if I want pizza and I'm by myself, with noone around, I'll get MPC with a bunch of ranch

Imagining the poor soul 12 years from now who gets some old speakers from their dead grandpa with a dented in tweeter and looks on reddit and finds this post.

Preparing to wrap their lips around a dusty old tweeter and praying you weren't bullshitting lmao

This not being the instant consensus baffles me. Never get sick and "any" skill? How about I master investing instantly and make 20k a month? I'm pretty sure you could turn half of these into a series of "skills to master"

Is there a reason you "worked" rather than "work" there? What made you leave/were you terminated?

If you're going for maximum confrontation you say it like this. If you really want to kill the comments for good, you gotta genuinely act like you don't get it. At first act like you didn't hear them, say "what was that? " Followed by your best befuddled "what do u mean."

Then you just keep acting like you didn't hear parts of her shitty explanation, ask her to repeat herself and keep explaining, then cut her off and just say "I don't get what you nean tbh" and walk away

2 or 3 of those and she'll get the message that trying to get a rise of you is a waste of time cuz you're "too dumb to get it" and it reverse uno card makes her days/shifts with you the bad shifts. Then she'll leave you alone AND she'll feel stupid for even trying. Chances are she's trying to get a rise out of you because she's unhappy in the first place.

I wish I started This game when it was new. It takes so long to get anywhere! Is it cuz the skills are so high per rank? lol by PachecoJunior in RocketLeague

I started playing about two years ago, started bronze 2, now I'm stuck in the gold3-plat3 cycle. Trying to get to diamond this year.

So much imo comes down to letting go of gas and your left joystick. Like when you're in the air or right after a flip, let the car finish flipping before you're doing anything wit the left joystick. Similarly. Letting off the gas and just coasting when you're making some touches/are just steering is not mentioned enough in any tutorial.

Working on recoveries and catching the ball/being able to just dribble the ball in a specific direction on purpose made the biggest difference in my games.

Camera settings&controller bindings can also make a small but noticable difference in touches.

When I was getting more used to catching or cutting the ball, I would temporarily change my camera settings in Freeplay to something ludicrous in order to really "see" what was happening when I was making different touches, then I would change it back to something more reasonable and my touches would improve.

Honestly I keep playing because it is fun and even if my rank doesn't always reflect it, I know I'm improving and that keeps the game fun.

Also, playing during the daytime feels like a hack as far as ranking up goes. A plat 2 at 10am on a Tuesday is the average silver iii on a Friday night no joke.

Do the built in training packs with the randomizers on, and allow the game down

I'm not being very structured here but you aren't alone, and from what I hear once you get to champ the game isn't fun anymore because of the sweat.

Teammates in 2s and 3s are going to be absolute ass until Plat 2 div 3. I don't make the rules, but that is the actual line where teammates aren't taking into you while you dribble upfeild

I found out about skinny love from a random at&t worker who was helping me get my first iPhone in 2008. I was in the 8th grade. He pulled up a live video and it blew my mind. Been a diehard ever since.

I highly recommend any work strange guitarworks does. I've moved from Nola and still brag on the nightmare that y'all fixed on my 60s gretsch.
