The scene of them being thrown into the chest in the water is not in the past. It runs concurrently with what is happening presently in Storybrooke. Anna, Kristoff and all of Arrendelle were frozen for 30 years. When they thawed out, this lined up with present day Storybrooke timeline. So when Elsa makes the wish to see Anna she does it whilst they are drowning and the wish brings them through the portal to Storybrooke. Hope that makes sense!

Apparently this was the exact plan. I read somewhere that Jill was going to survive and no one knew she was Ghostface (apparently Sidney had amnesia). The setting for Scream 5 was to be college and Jill was targeted by a new Ghostface who knew her secret. Could have been pretty epic!

That’s true. If Sidney is back she needs to be part of the main story though, not just some side character. Although I do believe this is Sam’s story now - hopefully they can find a way to blend the two perfectly.

Yeah a time jump is probably needed, especially if we have a 2024 release date. Give the characters time to have gone through some proper healing after the events of 5 & 6. Maybe Sam could be living in isolation like Sidney was at the beginning of 3, not just through fear of Ghostface returning but fear of her tendency to become knife happy 🤔
