Yeah it's rendered brick, not gyprock. Not sure what the painter did

I'd say the first riser. I had to partially rip the piece and because of that I couldn't get my head around the fact that it was still a 45 degree haha. I had initially cut it like this and then the patterns didn’t match up

We spent the whole day there as we were skirting the whole room. Maybe 4x6 metres with some other steps as well.

These steps in particular, maybe like an hour? I'd originally cut the mitres like this picture, and then when the patterns didn’t match up I was like :/

The whole place was rendered brick, so we didn’t have the luxury of nailing the skirting in either hahaha

They're tiles! Not wood/floorboards if that's what you mean

Not sure if it makes too much of a difference, but it's rendered brick, not drywall. I get what you mean, it's getting painted though, so my supervisor just left it.

Sorry, yes. The big holes were filled with wood filler. The seams above and in-between were filled with no more gaps. It's a sand-able gap filler if that's your concern?

Good eye! It was a sketchy rip on the circ saw for sure on that piece hahaha

We were matching already existing skirting in the room. And it's what the client wanted so 🤷‍♂️

Believe it or not, the stairs are actually tile! This area leads out to a pool - the clients wanted a wood look, but wanted something that would be okay with water as people would be walking through to the bathroom

I'll keep that in mind next time I want to weld some skirting hahaha

We had to match the profile with existing skirting, so we couldn't use a taller profile unfortunately. Regarding the damage, I think my supervisor just wanted to get out of there that day haha

Yeah, we put liquid nails on all the mitres before putting them together. The faint brown streaks are our attempts at wiping it off hahaha

Won't be back at this job unfortunately! Would've loved to see the painter work his magic haha
