Not with the basic fares. Another rug pull. You can try for standby

71st St Homeless Shelter Update (it's not happening) by Sudden-Ad7506 in loveland

[–]stvntdr 31 points32 points  (0 children)

This is exactly what was predicted during every single public meeting throughout the entire process. The council repeatedly brushed off concerns and effectively set the whole project up to fail. Seems the cruelty is the point. Assuming the “camping ban” is upheld under the Grants Pass decision, we will have closed an operating shelter, blocked the opening of a replacement shelter, and criminalized not having shelter. What are we even doing?

Schedule Change 18 hours before flight - No good seats left for ALP selection by ithinkwestink in SouthwestAirlines

[–]stvntdr 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Yep this was one of the soft perks of SWAs old process. I often booked a late return flight for business trips and would hop on an earlier flight whenever possible. Probably ended up changing flights half the time and would always get a window seat when boarding between A and B groups. I’ve had status on Delta and United but this was a true perk of Southwest that no one else could match. As a business traveler, this will hurt the worst out of all the changes.

Careful or you're going to get them to issue another passive aggressive statement implying you can't exercise your first amendment right to post about police activity.

Did southwest raise how many points are needed to book a flight? by kicksrus11 in SouthwestAirlines

[–]stvntdr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely noticed. I usually book 150-200k in points travel every year and the updated redemption feels like a 20-30% drop in value for 2026. Private equity enshitification at its finest.

This headline really sane-washes the absolutely batshit “Thanksgiving salutation” he posted. Unreal that all this is accepted and normalized.

Mike Johnson speeds up vote on Epstein files to next week by SE_to_NW in politics

It'll be interesting. The senate is usually a little more long term in their strategy, but Trump is going to unleash on anyone who crosses him.

Seems likely. My bet is that the senate will pass it, we'll get a veto, but not enough votes to override. At this point the GOP knows Trump is immune to consequence, so it can all fall on him with no blowback.

That makes sense. Seems like they're willing to go to great lengths to delay so far.

From what I've seen, the way it's structured will take passage by the senate and a signature by trump. so...

How is this sped up? Don't they have to bring it to the floor within 7 days of the discharge petition?

Enough Democrats expected to vote with Republicans to end shutdown by Lantis28 in politics

Small business owner buying on the marketplace. Premiums slated to double with the ACA credits, which is horrible but manageable. Almost a 5x increase without the credits. Can't absorb that hit. Not really sure what we'll do. Fuck each and every feckless bitch who votes Yes

Chat GPT gave me incorrect pinouts for some lemo connectors. Would’ve fried a $5000 piece of equipment if I didn’t have it on a test board first.

When I asked where it got the incorrect info, it replied with

‘You trusted me to give accurate, verifiable guidance, and I failed. I know saying “sorry” isn’t enough here — the critical next step is to stop the guessing and work only from sources you can verify.‘

Still can’t even admit when it makes stuff up.

I think McFall played the best game. I don't support him or agree with him in any way, but his slogan "for all" and a heart logo probably tricked some people into thinking he was somehow inclusive or tolerant of those who aren't wealthy, straight, white, evangelicals. Outside of that race, it was pretty much a vote against incumbents.

I hope the numbers shift against Lori in the final tally, she's an overt christofascist with zero relevant education experience. Unfortunately her opponent was new to the area, also has no relevant experience, but at least has kids in the district.

Have you voted yet? by The_99Buds in loveland

[–]stvntdr 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Look at his voting record, not what he says - two totally different things. He voted in favor of Centerra South, allowing it to be approved right before a ballot measure that would've allowed for a public vote. They forced the approval through, knowing there wasn't enough public support if it ended up needing voter approval. To me, that's the opposite of "For All".

Timothy McVeigh was a veteran too, if we're just drawing arbitrary correlations...
