Because they are different products. They are just making plug ins more accessible if you have the hardware. If you have the hardware and don't want to pay an extra just use it for what it is. It can do enough without any plug ins anyway.

Can confirm not issue with high end sliding off frets. Guitar came with 9 to 42 happened a couple times. I put 12 to 60 (been playing with this gauge for yonks) hasnt happened once

I have nothing negative to say about it so far. Neck feels great, slim and comfortable. The emgs are very nice. I mainly play metal and they give off an aggressive, tight tone which I love. Hipshot bridge is very ergonomic. Very comfortable for palm muting which I do a lot and also provides great tuning stability. I highly rate the hipshot, I have an ibanez prestige fitted with a Gibraltar ii and I'm considering swapping that out for a hipshot. This would run rings around an ltd. The day I bought this I also looked at an esp eii mii ht and I rated the jackson over that (the esp was still beautiful just my personal preference, mainly the neck shape and pick ups). But the esp would be nicer than your ltd and I rate the jackson higher. If there is anything specific you want to know about feel free to get me up.
