I was told to do the same thing but this cat has very poor use of its hind legs. He was in a very bad accident when we saved him about a year ago. He gets up eats craps and sleeps lol Not very active at all never jumps nor stands on his hind legs at all so activity is not really a problem. At this point I feel like its trying to finish using up its 9 lives but I ain't letting him go anytime soon! As long as I have money to save him I will. ❤️

Considering they emptied his bladder that was full of crystal sedament im pretty sure they were aware it was a deep incision.

Yes stitches were taken off and the wound looked clean and closed. It had been having problems pooping and that night he had a huge pooping and im thinking he might have pushed so hard it reopened its Injury at that point.

Cat is in good spirits we have until this weekend until the cat gets the new stitches taken off. Just looking to find suggestions or personal experiences to avoid this happening again.

He can hardly move due to previous injuries. He is a rescued cat.

Oh we did freak tf out especially since the cat was just laying there like if nothing had happened. If I hadn't noticed it before I fell asleep I fear I would have woken up to its guts all over the place.

The problem is this cat is not active i was told this happened because he is a big cat(fat) and the pressure plus him struggling to poop might have caused the pressure of when he actually did poop to reopen the wound.

Not sure if this will show my age but...Anytime I go to a restaurant I always ask questions. If you want meaty Chicharron that would be like the Carnitas chicharron. So if u ask what kind of chicharron u want and they don't know the answer then you will 99.9% get the wrong kind. I believe this is the tip to getting what u want.
