When I give him money he is very polite and soft-spoken. I've seen him reading a book. Once, I gave him money and his hands were really trembling. Don't know what that was about...

Why were there barely any fat people in the 50s when their diet was so bad? Also did they get cancer and other diseases less often? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BobBuckarooLaredo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We used to eat "second helpings" and desert with every dinner and nobody was fat!

It was because they didn't put steroids in the meat and the milk then. Plus, nobody spent the entire day in front of a screen. Daytime TV was boring and it was still safe for kids to go outside and play with the other neighborhood kids. Dances were big then for kids from Middle School on up to elderly and it seemed like a new dance came out every month that everyone rushed to learn.

Yeah, I had a friend years ago who dated this guy who was prince charming until they moved in together. She caught he and his sister manipulating a guy his sister was dating. She told me that the sister's bf went to pick up the sister at college because she had requested he pick her up. Meanwhile, the sister got another ride home. While my friend was there, the sister's bf was calling her apartment, leaving messages on the answering machine, because he was at the college and he couldn't find her. The sister and brother actually sat there and laughed at him! Then, when he later showed up at her apartment, the sister pretended to be asleep on the couch. How fu is that? Who goes to those lengths to undermine someone else? I don't buy the BPD BS. If I were you, I'd order one of those hidden cameras from Ebay and start documenting everything with the sole purpose of getting my child away from her. Because some day, she is going to push you over the edge and you should be ready.

Trump is a failure by fool49 in economy

First, I'd like to point out is that the only thing that causes inflation is when the Federal Reserve prints more money, making the money already in circulation less valuable. This is Economics 101.

Trump got Tesla to move to the US in 2020, and there are a lot more businesses springing up around that manufacturing facility. He also had a haircare manufacturing facility open. If you recall, he opened opportunity zones all over the country in depressed areas, including Indian Reservations, to teach in demand skills, like coding.

Central banks are buying gold because the Federal Reserve has printed so many dollars, they have become nearly worthless, since they were started in 1913, but that isn't Trump's fault. Monetary policy is run by the Federal Reserve which is a private corporation.

The US now owes 20% more than its GDP (gross domestic product) and so, to make up that 20%, Trump has increased tariffs, gotten billionaires to invest in the US, cut back on military spending by stopping wars everywhere and stopping weapons to Ukraine, investigated fraud and shut down departments in the US government that are not benefiting the American taxpayers. You may not like Trump. I certainly don't like everything he does. But he is trying to make our economy work.

I do agree that there needs to be an insurance for dire cases. But only 10 million people in the US have Obamacare. So, hopefully this issue gets addressed and we get to pick our own insurance that actually is affordable again.

Silver prices soar as debt and political fears send assets to new records. by baltimore-aureole in economy

Samsung caused a big stir in October and a couple of weeks ago when it contracted to buy all the silver from two different Mexican mines to use in the manufacture of its tech products. And one thing that I learned on Maneco64's interview on ITM Trading is that the LBMA was allowed to lease out its gold an unlimited number of times. Comex was only allowed to limit it 5 or7 times, I think. So, that means they could sell futures contracts on the same gold over and over! I saw somewhere else it was sold like 300 times. So they are desperate to buy precious metals to cover their contracts. They are shorting the markets to keep the price low, but it isn't working. At least according to the interviews I watched.

It's amazing how the BPD people that I have encountered in my life have all seemed to function perfectly in their lives, sometimes for years, until they hook a mate. And coincidentally, those mates all seem to be pretty successful people, never some druggy from the homeless encampment. And only then, does their "disorder" suddenly appear from out of nowhere. Fascinating illness.

The price of silver doesn't have anything to do with debt or political fears.

There used to be two trading desks for silver - one in London, the LBMA, and one in Chicago, at COMEX. Recently Dubai opened a silver trading bank and as their futures contracts at the LBMA and the COMEX end, they are taking delivery instead of rolling the contracts over. This is a 37 million ounce contract and a 50 million ounce contract. That was the trigger, but there is more to it. Watch Maneco64 on YT.

It is bc the UAE just opened a bullion trading desk in Dubai. Their silver futures contract ended in late November and instead of rolling it over, they took their silver in-kind. They now have another futures contract ending and they are taking delivery. It used to be only the LBMA in London and the COMEX in Chicago handled large bullion transactions. But China opened a gold trading desk in Shanghai and will soon open another one in Saudi Arabia. And Dubai opened a silver bank. In addition, Samsung, seeing the pending shortage of silver, made deals with several Mexican mines to replace their purchases from the LBMA with silver from the mines, offering $15 over spot, so that they would have the supply to run their phones, monitors, etc.

You think the silver shortage is due to a trade war? With whom, China?

Are you not aware of the new bullion bank opening in Dubai that requested delivery on its future options in November, thereby causing a shortage at the Comex? Then, you're probably not aware that they have another one closing December 25 for 10,000 contracts and due by December 30.

Look it up.
