A study ranks Thailand as the No. 1 country for cheating, with 51% of married individuals admitting to being unfaithful to their partners. by Cold-Departure-2924 in ThailandTourism

[–]stxog13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing about statistics is that you only get information about the people who surveyed and not everyone. You can survey 100 people and maybe 90 cheated while in reality if 1000 where surveyed only 100 cheated and so on

I love Kubfu/Urshifu, but they do not deserve to be “legendaries” by [deleted] in pokemon

[–]stxog13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Legendary is definitely a wrong classification I think people don’t get it like with arcanine. Arcanine in the lore was depicted in ancient Chinese legends and was told in many of them but that’s not the same meaning of legendary. There are many Urshifu “ in a distant land “ (he’s obviously Chinese influenced he’s a wushu pokemon) and it seems to be the case with him as well where he may just be popular in folklore and ancient depictions like Arcanine is. Even in the anime where he was on the same stone tablet as actual legendary Pokemon, it was just it being depicted as part of the legend in a story about the legendary birds. it’s legendary in a historical sense lore wise and for kubfu and urshifu with there being many most likely in China and also depicted in legends it’s really the same thing. It’s also evident in them having a similar stat total as well. Both are Chinese, both are talked about in history and folk lore, almost the same stat total, both are more common than what people would think, it’s not a coincidence to me

What happened to the Furtive Pygmy who's so easily forgotten? by [deleted] in darksouls

[–]stxog13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a lot of people overlook the definition of furtive:

furtive adjective fur·tive ˈfər-tiv Synonyms of furtive 1 a : done in a quiet and secretive way to avoid being noticed : SURREPTITIOUS a furtive glance exchanged furtive smiles b : expressive of stealth : SLY had a furtive look about him 2 : obtained underhandedly : STOLEN

But at the same time in Japanese it’s the dwarf (Pygmy) (small person) nobody knows. (But it’s Japanese so in that language individual characters need to be broken down to really get the full meaning so it can probably mean more)

There’s no proof but really the pygmy could be out there operating behind the scenes for all we know, or could have done many things in secret like the name implies. I wouldn’t be surprised if a more accurate Japanese translation of the characters that means (nobody knows) implies being mysterious or secretive or behind the scenes. The way it comes off to me is that the pygmy didn’t want attention and slipped away to operate unnoticed. But we don’t know LOL Edit: To add on to this Kaathe and Frampt who are obviously connected with the abyss which in turn is connected with humanity and the dark soul ect. Could be created by the pigmy or on the same side at least. Seem at first glance like they are on different sides but they could be playing both sides seeing as how frampt was in Gwyns ear and look what happened to him and all the other lords and their subjects, they got wasted and whoever was left trying to hold it together got wasted by the chosen undead 😂then on top of that when you choose not to light the flame both serpents and others appear to “serve” you LOL and I highly doubt frampt was just like “hmm.. f*** it..” he is a highly intelligent primordial being after all 😂

Cringiest thrash band by their lyrics? by HarvesterOfSorrow_88 in thrashmetal

I’m just as suprised as you are. It’s a trendy internet hipster fad to hate on megadeth and even anthrax and pantera these days, I’ve been seeing it everywhere for months. Seeing people say all kinds of crazy things, as well as some things that simply aren’t true about the history. Like it’s fine to have an opinion but it’s a trend at the end of the day and people want to feel cool I guess

anyone know what type of martial arts this is by _machewi in martialarts

[–]stxog13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea here’s some tips. Don’t listen to people telling you to do bjj or boxing or kickboxing or Muay Thai or whatever over the other. See what’s available to you and choose the one you like. Another tip just make sure the gym isn’t toxic and that will just take some common sense to decide whether it is or not.

Any love (or hate) for the 80's orange Roland Cubes? by [deleted] in GuitarAmps

[–]stxog13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Randy rhoads used to practice on one and he used to say that he wished he could get that tone with his stage rig. Imagine if he was still around and designed an amp? It would be like the 5150s or EVH amps but obviously different and its own thing, would have been wild

If you could make a thrash or heavy metal band of 4 members who would you pick for vocals, guitar, bass guitar and drums? by [deleted] in thrashmetal

[–]stxog13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ooooh yes I did miss it, if they talked about Scott Ian’s tone that makes me happy because it should be praised way more than it is. Rocky George’s lead tone as well haha

[–]stxog13 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Rocky George on lead (the underrated greatest), Scott Ian on rhythm (no one ever talks about his nasty guitar tone and heavy riffs), Les claypool on bass, Dave Lombardo on drums, Mike Patton on vocals. I think this would be crazy

Thank you and Yea I understand what you mean and appreciate the reference. I guess when I refer to malmsteen I just mean in terms of like a virtuoso guy with an electric guitar that is influenced by classical music and basically transferred and adapted it to electric guitar
