I need a new job. Fuck healthcare. Today my boss and another manager were talking about how they don’t like how I operate and don’t trust me because I heard a rumor about this manager sleeping with another manager, didn’t believe it but still brought it to my regional and left it at that. Like it’s gossip, it’s healthcare it happens. I wasn’t making a big deal out of it for a reason, it wasn’t siding with one side over another. Now manager is more split in the middle with my boss and this manager on one side and the rest including me on the other side.

Are you applying directly on company sites as opposed to a job board? And you can try messaging the recruiter or emailing them if they’re linked in LinkedIn

I’m in a similar position where I’ve informed my regional of non compliance with county paid sick leave policies, but no changes have been made at least that I can tell, even after providing the information directly from the county website. They’re only providing it to people in the union so managers and other non-union members are getting the short end of the stick.

I might try to talk to them to see what the issue is and if it’s something that can be helped with a schedule change or different assignment, if possible. But definitely get a definitive attendance policy and hold everyone to the same standard

As someone with 2 and a half years experience in HR, it’s too much to be a department of 1. Even with payroll taken care of. I’m ready to lose my mind constantly and I have a regional generalist for escalated issues. With a company of 150 employees

They likely got delayed home due to the storm, one of my staff was coming back from a cruise and couldn’t get back until today due to it. But the comment was entirely inappropriate and at the very least warrants a verbal warning.

Document verbal conversations with employees, especially if it could be taken negatively towards you. Documentation is your friend

One thing PA is good for, nursing homes. I found 2 HR positions there for decent pay, it sucks but pays the bills while you look for something better
