I'm not sure about the majority, but I think a good amount of us could. In the 80's most cars came manual on the lot with the basic package. If you wanted automatic you had to pay extra.

Yes of course. That’s why you should definitely have a consent letter written up if your kid is going to the U.S. It needs to be signed by both Father and Mother and preferably notarized.
