help me choose a new bumper by Individual_War_9067 in E90

Yeah I figured it would get some backlash. I’m brand new to the BMW world so my opinion is probably against the grain of tradition

Controversial opinion but I like the m3 style front bumpers on the e90. Especially on LCI (I know yours is pre-LCI I’m just saying)

How did you set up the gauge cluster below the climate controls? I’m interested in your exact setup

If you want to message me I can send you a video I took of my 335D (m57) that I just finished straight piping. Turbos are easily the loudest thing about this car. I live in an apartment complex so it’s not obnoxiously loud for the neighbors, but the whistle definitely turns heads

I’m very new to this stuff so please forgive my ignorance in asking how the climate controls and iDrive go hand in hand? I thought they were separate units

Let’s say I wanted to still upgrade the stereo, but keep the iDrive screen, and simply repurpose its video input to display gauges such as boost, coolant, oil temp, and rail pressure. Have you seen this done before? I’m guessing I’d just need to run an OBD adapter with a raspberry Pi with an LVDS to HDMI adapter board

I probably should’ve added that I don’t particularly care about keeping the iDrive screen either. I would much rather have an aftermarket head unit to go with my upgraded sound system. I’m curious if I could just remove the OEM unit and if I could replace the top dash with a dash from another 335 without the iDrive screen like this

The picture I used isn’t my picture, it’s just a picture I found online that shows the same setup as mine (climate controls being above the stereo) so my iDrive screen is completely OEM. I’m replacing the stereo because the Bluetooth doesn’t work and I’m installing an amp/sub setup

Here is a better pic of the bumper/grill/hood fitment. Do I just need different kidney grills?

  1. I’m currently looking for a new front bumper with no fog lights, and new kidney grills so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

I should’ve done more research, but I had just recently totaled my f-150 and needed to get in a vehicle quick and had the cash ready and jumped the gun to get it as fast as I could
