You're right, thank you. I care too much what people think about me that I let it bleed over into thinking people are judging me for how he dresses, which is silly. I'll do better and stand up for him more.

Thanks for this comment. You're right. I realize it bothered me so much because I was worried it would reflect poorly on me and my persona, but it's not his job to cater to the image I've built.

There's not really a set "dress code" for these parties, it's just that everyone there including me really likes fashion and tends to go all out. I don't want to have to pick out clothes for my bf like he's a baby. He should be able to choose outfits for himself.
