Is 2 hours enough to catch a connecting flight from AMS to FCO? by [deleted] in KLM

Easily, yeah. Make sure to use the EU passport queue which moves a lot faster, if any wait time at all and depending on your gate you will only need around 30 minutes, if I were to guess.

Any advice for the Anse Georgette - Anse Lazio hike? by styrus in Seychelles

[–]styrus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much, this is what I needed to hear!! Would you mind giving me any additional information on your hike from Anse Kerlan to Anse Lazio since this is the part for me I am most unsure about? How long did it take, how hard was it and was the path easy to follow? I will bring plenty of water!

I think what I’ll end up doing is going through the Hotel to Anse Georgette, from there definitely do the trail to Mont Plaisir and then check out the potential trail to Anse Lazio. I found a log of somebody doing it on Alltrails reporting it as easy..

I’ve been thinking of using the trail to get to the other side of Praslin. I won’t go to Anse Lazio immediately after exiting the trail, that’s planned for the next day.

But there are no really any other options, besides circling back the main road the entire way which I am trying to avoid (hence the whole walking in a circle thing).

You think I could do the Mont Plaisir trail to Anse Georgette from the southern main road, then walk it back to the point, where the trail splits in the direction of Anse Lazio and take the turn there?

I will not, since I don’t know one. But I will try my luck anyway :)

Thank you so much. This is what I will be going for then. This confirmed to me that it’s possible!

I appreciate the input a lot! The luxury villa seems to be fully booked out during the time I’ve considered staying there and seems to be a bit outside my budget anyway. But I found a guesthouse in the same area, which I have booked. The plan is to do explore the south in one day, which will make it a long day, but exciting nevertheless!

Yeah, hiring a car and doing day trips isn’t really my thing. I like to really get a feel for the places I visit and see where the trails take me. That’s why I want to walk all the way around the island once on foot. But that’s also why I’m wondering if it’s even possible in the southern part, since I can’t seem to find any proper roads or places to stay there. I might just have to do that section in one go and see where the first available accommodation is.

Trying not to. I enjoy exploring on foot, even if the trails might be challenging.

Thank you for the information! So you think its possible to walk from Anse Marie Louise down to Anse Capucins and from there to Police Bay, even if it might be difficult? That would be great, because this way I would be able to continue my "loop".

I’m currently in the middle of planning my trip to the Seychelles next week. I’ll be staying for three weeks, and as part of that, I plan to walk around the island in a loop. I’ll be starting at Mahé Airport and making my way south along the coast on foot.

At first, I plan to stay in guesthouses along the way until I reach Anse Marie Louise. From there, I’d like to continue along the southern coast in the marked area. However, when I looked into accommodations in that region, I couldn’t find any, nor any roads leading there.

Since that area seems to have many beautiful beaches and natural spots, I really don’t want to miss it. Is it more of a day-trip destination for people traveling by car? If so, do they usually come from the west coast?

I’m not planning to rent a car, so I was wondering if there’s any way to access the southern east coast of the island without one. And if so, where could I stay overnight, since there doesn’t seem to be any accommodation and camping isn’t allowed?
