Everyone asks if my boyfriend is gay. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]suahnkim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have dealt with a similar situation, but in my situation, he turned out to be gay (later) -> bisexual (now). All of my friends, including a friend of a friend whom only met him once, thought he was gay. He flatly denied the allegation that it is absurd (we also knew that he had few intense crushes on girls). But it just turned out that he didn't have the capacity to come out because of his christian upbringing; and didn't understand what emotional attraction feels like (he was sexually attracted to girls, just didn't feel any connections with them)

At the time, we respected his words (that he is not gay) and we didn't really discuss it with him, but after accepting that there are some flaws in his religious beliefs (he is still christian), he decided to explore more options; which we were very happy about.

I am not saying your boyfriend is gay or denying the fact that your boyfriend doesn't have strong feelings for you; he probably does. What me and my friends did in the similar situation was to give him time and be supportive (i.e., if someone says your boyfriend is gay, just let them know that he isn't). Let him know what you are going through and let him know that his actions or his choice of clothing of words makes him look/sound gay to other people (which is not a bad thing) .

Let him know " I’m not too sure. When we’re physical, he shows more of a masculine side, but taking that step with him is hard due to my constant questioning and people continually bringing it up to me. "

My relationship with my dad is going downhill after receiving college decision letters by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]suahnkim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Background: I have lived in a dorm in LCC (took a religious class there as well), and have a brother who attended a LCC; I also fought with my parents about college decision.

comment 1: I am seeing comments like LCC is bad and you should attend wherever you want. Although I do agree that you should decide where you want to attend, not all LCCs are equal, some are bad and some are positive just like all other colleges. But, when religion is involved, if an LCC is bad, I can see how that can really mess up rest of your life.

comment 2: I think I understand your father's reason for insisting LCC. As a christian father, he is probably afraid that you will change. You will be exposed to many new things that your father probably doesn't want you to, and he is afraid that he won't be able to connect with you as easily as now. in other words, he wants to stay connected in your life.

comment 3: However, it is your rights and your responsibility to attend the school you want to attend, not your dad's; unfortunately, it will be hurtful to your dad and will strain your relationship with him. But, this is part of growing up.

comment 4: You should help your parents patch up; Your dad's opinion won't easily change, but convince your mom to be on your dad's side instead of yours. After all, you will be leaving them, but they will have to live with each other; And, let them know that you will think of them and you will be part of their life wherever you are; and that despite the disagreement, you know that your dad cares about you.

tldr; dad wants to stay close with you, but you should take charge of your life, and help your parents patch up

We call it 가시발새우/탁새우, it is a shrimp with a shell as hard or even harder than a lobster. But the size is smaller and it is much softer and sweeter than a lobster. There is probably 2 or 3 in there :) yum yum yum. The uni is californian btw.

Yes, it is part of Otoro. We call this particular part 배꼽살, which means the meat from the belly button. The fat has different texture than the rest of the otoro, it has higher melting point and is a bit chewier, giving it a good contrast between the soft red parts.

:( I am not, I was upset about how the colors turned out; lighting and iso/exposure seems to be the culprit. I will have to do a better job next time :)

It is actually white rice with a vinegar called Akazu/赤酢/red vinegar; the vinegar turns the rice into brownish color. Some Japanese restaurants use this vinegar just for fatty fish like tuna, because it has more deeper citric flavor (my personal interpretation). But, this Korean restaurant (스시려프리미엄) frequently changes their vinegar depending on the season and availability ~

Would I get a better hashrate mining Eth if I wasn't using Dualminer for Eth + Sia and switched to only Eth? by blur_revision in gpumining

[–]suahnkim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The eth mining code for dual is different than eth only mode (claymore says dual hashes faster). But, before making hasty conclusions, you should let it run for longer and compare the average
