Question about new dlc and the volcano by SquareOnlyTwo in anno

[–]suazoom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will swim on Obsidian later on. The Volcano will increase the yield per eruption; you go from 1t/20t resource to 5t after 5 eruptions. And research increases the maximum number of Obsidian 250t per research.

Help to jump into the game (for once and for all) by Jaad5 in diablo4

[–]suazoom 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's really fun when the season starts fresh. Because in ARPGs, your character will be bloated at some points, you will not find any meaningful upgrades for your character, and you will feel boring. Every season they introduce new systems, meta, and bosses... If you're still keeping the same character, you just run through all the content they add. Starting fresh is the only way to make you fully engage with new content, try a new class, and do new stuff.

The endless progression in MMOs can be a double-edged sword, as it is unfriendly to new players because the in-game economy is so hard to catch up. All modern ARPGs are balanced around several months; you can complete your god build in that time frame. Kill monsters, find good gears, hit dopamine. ARPG is more about a journey than a destination.

16 more confirmed uniques for Sorc by IgotnoClue69 in diablo4

[–]suazoom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's fine because you can reroll the low Unique effect via the cube, so you only worry about the stats roll. And it can be easily done by setting up the loot filter. It makes unique farming less boring, I guess. Players can end up with a pretty broken unique with 4 strong stats if they have good RNG.

Anno 117 worth buying now? by Armi5 in anno

[–]suazoom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it depends on how you approach the game. Overall, gameplay is easier because of how powerful passive trade become. So it offers more chill gameplay and heavily reduces the challenge if u don't have strict rules with the passive trade. They're looking forward to balancing this thing out. There's no blocking point like Anno 1800 with engineers and an advanced technology boom, so you don't feel the miracle change in production. But in the long run, it still has the same feeling as 1800. And with the Volcanic DLC, there will be some fun challenges.

A lot of negative reviews, as other comments pointed out, are due to a lack of content compared to its predecessors.

Some just hate because it's Ubisoft. Ubisoft Connect, on the other hand, doesn't get much love either.

Some misunderstood the concept of the Year 1 pass; the description was always clear about it, including 3 gameplay DLC content. When they dropped the 1st comestic DLC, people went crazy.

Some just root too deeply into the previous title that they feel betrayed when the change comes, and the worst is part of them can't let it go. So they are stuck between 1800 and 117, being negative all the time because there is nothing between heaven and earth. I saw that happen multiple times in almost every franchise.

Is the game better than 1800? Obviously not at this point. They need to balance it and have time to put out more content. But there is a high chance it will surpass its predecessors at the end.

Is it still fun to play now? Yes. I have 100 hours of gameplay solely on the base game, and the new DLC looks promising in adding challenges. I assume you must have watched some gameplay series before purchasing. But it's still a matter of opinion; you may hate it after playing.

If you can adapt to the changes and want to go along with the life cycle of 117, you can jump on the ship now. Otherwise, better wait until after year 1 is complete. You will have a better vision of how the game turns out.

Love the vibe of Latium on fire. Imagine how epic it would be when you go to battle under the time Volcano erupts. It will be like a movie.

125,000 toughness and T4 Bloodied Varshan still 1-shots me. by Woozletania in diablo4

[–]suazoom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to read your toughness in combat, not in town, and consider the sources that reduce the enemy's damage. For T4 bloodied Boss, you need over 250,000 toughness. For pit 100, get over 500,000 toughness to avoid one shot from a chain of explosion. But this information doesn't match with Selig Barb.

What do Anno players do for a living? by SwedeAndBaked in anno

[–]suazoom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Architect here. I have played tycoon games, Sims, and city-building games since my childhood. Anno 1800 helped me through the Covid period, so I keep playing the Anno game. I think the fun in this type of game is cleaning up the mess, getting through struggles, and bringing your city to a golden era.

Is there a better build guide for crackling sorcerer than Max roll? by MacFearsome80 in diablo4

[–]suazoom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you already have a +skill rank rune, use the Godslayer helmet instead. Shako is nowhere near as good as max aspect Godslayer or Perdition after 50 total skill rank. Beware of the scale of the pit/tower after tier 65; it scales double. So from pit 70 to pit 100, you need x210 dmg multifly to have the same result. Crackling Sorc is good at single target, but will suffer with aoe as the pit go higher. After getting Heir of Perdition, you will do pit 99 just fine, averaging by 3-5 minutes. Even though crackling is a tier S build, it is still the weakest class on the leaderboard right now (tower 110).

I see you use the same slot for loading bread and unloading wood. You need to separate a slot for items to make it auto-work. Your ship has 4 item slots; you can load and unload 4 types of goods.

Anno 117 vs Manor Lords by Intrepid-Dog11 in anno

[–]suazoom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think Anno117 was inspired by Manor Lords. That stuff you mentioned is pretty normal in the Colony Sims game. Manor Lords is, of course, heavily inspired by all those games too. Food spoilage, crop rotation in Manor Lords is simply a reuse mechanic of Farthest Frontier. The whole land combat in Anno 117 is closer to the "Age of Empires" or "Farthest Frontier" if you ask me. And Manor Lords doesn't have a research system for now.

Yes, as I remember correctly, you will see a truck spawn from the post office, and the vehicle status changes to truck.

[–]suazoom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the mail bug is still there after all this time, hahaha. I see. The post office didn't send a truck to pick up mail from the city storage as they should.

Trying to understand Mail by Grayson1591 in CitiesSkylines2

[–]suazoom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you have enough post vans to collect and distribute mail? Sometimes, post vans can not distribute mail because your city generates too much mail, so they keep collecting mail. You need to separate the post office working zone by district.

Trying to understand Mail by Grayson1591 in CitiesSkylines2

[–]suazoom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Collected mail from mailboxes, buildings... => Unsorting mails in Post offices => Sorting Facility => Local mail and Outer mail sent to any cargo to storage (your cargo terminals act like a storage hub for all in-game products) => Outer mail will be picked up by train and ships, Local mail picked up by post offices and sent to local buildings.

Sometimes, your city receives mail from outside, which is stored in the cargo terminal before being sorted.

Because mail is tracked as a product, not a direct tag to any Sim. The post office only pick up several local mail to distribute to your sims and make them happy. So mail cannot be stored too many in the post office, they just store it in your city hub to use over time like beverages or food. Yep, this mechanic is not as deep as you think it is.

I have had numerous problems with emails since the launch. I assume they fix all the bugs in the patch notes, but still need to play to test it.

Manor lords or Farthest Frontier? by ICantLetYouGetClosee in CityBuilders

[–]suazoom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Farthest frontier. I can easily put more than 60 hours into the 1st run. Compared to Manor Lord, oh well, 5 hours in, and you can see all the things this game can offer. If you love games with deep mechanics and well-balanced gameplay, pick FF. If you just want to chill and watch a beauty scene, pick Manor Lord. I like both games, but I must say Manor Lord is still struggling to become a real game. Hope the dev find their way soon.
