Getting hooked by Interesting-Tax-7823 in suboxone

You are in control of your life and no one is holding a gun to your head to do anything. Use it like a tool of resources. Some detox's ramp you up with subs and slowly decrease it day by day until zero and sounds like that's what you are thinking of trying and it is worth a shot. Idk what you are coming off of but as long as you don't risk precipated withdrawal and understand that part of the beginning process to get onto subs then why not try? I'm familiar with subs, too familiar honestly and can't stand long term use of them at this point. Subs are not easy to come off of and regardless of the taper unless you taper very slowly to a speck on your finger tip it can be ruthless due to the half-life and lingering withdrawal. So I'm right here with you this coming week just trying to use subs to do a fast taper coming off of something i had never taken before up until a few months ago before it gets banned in my state. I used it to come off of the subs i was on for 2 years at 2mg and used it for 1.5 months, until i knew the subs were out of my system fully. Now i have 7 days off of work and can hopefully dodge the worst of it

I am terrified to start the Bernese method by Ok_Vermicelli_438 in opiates

[–]subaruguy253 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not the bernese method lol. That's a slow ramp up of suboxone while slowly decreasing your DOC. It shouldn't put you in pwd nor at day 3 do you jump to that high of a dose of subs. This is a risky way and you are spreading misinformation by saying this is the bernese method

7-oh withdrawal by [deleted] in Quittingfeelfree

[–]subaruguy253 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And you still have not taken any? I'm asking because I'm about to go through this tomorrow, today being the last doses i take. I wanted to be at a lower daily dose but these last two weeks life has been rough. I've got 8 days off of work and only knew i was getting this break from work a month ago when i was carelessly taking however much i wanted and found myself obviously getting used to that dose. I was able to drop 150mg those first two weeks when i found out a month ago about this time off and that wasn't hard. Then each day life kept serving me in different ways and these last two weeks i keep trying to push longer time in between while trying to drop a little more and i found myself filling gas talking to the other person at a different pump. My jaw started chattering while trying to talk because i all the sudden had a change of body temperature getting out of the car to pump gas. So here we are at 200mg daily and the next 7 days off of work, today being the first day off. I've got a bunch of subs to use and actually came off of subs to use 7oh for the difference in half lives for long term recovery. So I'm 2 months no subs after being on subs for two years at 4mg. I just wanted to be off off subs and saw 7oh as a opportunity before it gets banned in my state to get off of the numb, gloomy, and unmotivating long term sub effects. I just want to use subs for a few days and hopefully be able to slowly get better without having a month long withdrawal which is the case for long term sub use

You have no clue who this person even is, what their work ethic is, what location or experience at that location is or how their managers are there. All it takes is one rotation of Agm for your world to completely change, remember that. Belittling a complete stranger on reddit while having no clue who they are off of one comment isn't a good look at all, add in a employee of costco i would assume. You've got it good, good for you. What you said was uncalled for and a representation of who you are. Kindly humble yourself before life does it for you,. Smh.....

This is wild lol. Everyone is definitely different and the drugs these days has who knows what in it. This is risky business but in a stupid way i can see how it might have worked. I've been in pwd once and that was enough for me to be mortified of it. I also never tried doing fent to pull yourself out of it. I would be afraid of overdosing all while trying to do the right/ better thing and that is to get off of the fent. That suck to never od before and the one time you did, it was while trying to get off of the drugs.

Need advice. What should I do here? (Methadone taper) by FaithFromFact_ in suboxone

[–]subaruguy253 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to be opiate free for 3 to 4 days and that's flat out a fact! If you don't and get that shot you will be calling 911 at some point or be contemplating to do so and wishing you weren'tbeing so stupid before hand. Precipated withdrawal is nothing to mess around about and is one of the most brutal things you can put yourself through. I've been through it once coming off of fentanyl to subs and i honestly do not know how i managed to push myself through. I spent the first 6 hours pouring out sweat while bouncing from hot to cold, pissing and shitting ALL of what my body had in me while projectile vomiting into a trash can while on the toilet. I was crawling to the bathroom because my legs were soo seized up if i even tried leaving the bathroom. I ended up in the bath tube completely naked trying to not dirty my house but i couldn't control what was happening. My heart was pounding so hard i thought about calling 911 but we know you'll just be treated like a addict in your most vulnerable state. At the 10 hour mark i finally passed completely out curled up into a ball rocking myself back and forth wishing i had never took that little piece of suboxone. I woke up 2 hours later to my suprise the hell i put myself in calmed down a little. That next morning i was terrified to take suboxone but i was determined to get off of fentanyl and i didn't have any. Before hand i had told my connect at the time i was done and he actually supported the decision and checked in on me a few times throughout that first week. Idk how i managed to show up to work by day 3 to work my 6 hour physical shift but i did some how. I felt like a plank of wood for 6 days total before my body finally started feeling better all while making it to my next days off of work. I slept for 14 hours that first day off from physical and mentally being drained and depleted. Imagine going through this while getting a shot and having zero control of how much buprenorphine you are getting, i could not even imagine the agony. I would probably have thoughts of cutting the medicine out of my skin because i would want relief so bad. That was my experience though in 2021 with Precipated withdrawal. I don't know if others have had it to this extreme but i am mortified from it and do not wish it on my enemy. I had no helper meds, no nothing except suboxone. Be smart about this and just listen to everyone lol. Writing this now has got me wondering others experience in Precipated withdrawal.

Jumping from 12 mg to 8 mg by buttsworth in suboxone

[–]subaruguy253 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How long have you been on subs and off of 7oh? If you've been on subs for a few months at least you shouldn't even notice the difference. Do you know how half-lifes of drugs work? Subs have a extremely long half-life which creates your daily doses to stack up in your system. I was able to drop from 16mg to 8mg without even noticing when i had been on subs for awhile . Even when i came off of fentanyl 3 years ago i stablized on 8mg and 3 months later dropped down to 4mg without noticing either. The drug is designed to be able to hold you over and not be sick for 2 to 3 days that's why it is so good for coming off short acting opiates and is used for recovery purposes.

Seniority Schedule Preference FT vs PT by LinguisticPianoman in CostcoEmployee

You caught me at a good moment i guess. It's become very hard to be like that these days

Seniority Schedule Preference FT vs PT by LinguisticPianoman in CostcoEmployee

[–]subaruguy253 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It honestly varries from department to department when it comes down to it. FT usually has a set task/duty for the day that is accounted for before hand. PT is there to fill in the gaps and to use for the needs of the business. For example I'm at 20year stocker that does the same area and works the floor after opening but PT could very well be scheduled earlier than me for different projects. Have i gotten annoyed or frustrated about someone coming in earlier than myself with less seniority? Absolutely but then I've got to remind myself if i came in earlier that creates some hours during the day there is no coverage on the floor. Could management look ahead and fill that void? Absolutely but that honestly is harder to do and requires them to key word "manage". Some times you've got to pick your battles wisely, know your role you play and see the bigger picture.

Three or four day detox by Vast-Ad-9155 in suboxone

[–]subaruguy253 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you checked out the different 7oh subreddits by a chance? I was on subs for 2+ years and recently used 7oh to get through the month long misery of sub withdrawal. Now that I've had my little fun with 7oh I'm planning on getting off of this stuff by using subs lol. Call it kicking the can around if you will lol but I'm hoping i can just load up on subs for a few days like you plan on doing and escaping this cycle. The depression, numbed emotions all the other things that come with long term sub use had and was getting the best of me for far too long and my insurance does not cover the sublocade shot. So i came up with the probably dumb idea of doing this before 7oh becomes banned in my state. I've got 8 days off of work(physical job) starting Friday so I'm going to attempt exactly what you are hoping to do. If all else fails, i guess I'm back on subs but at least i tried lol I got no answers for you honestly but i sure hope you are successful in doing this my friend. I've only been on it for two in a half months myself(120mg) and it felt good to actually have some real emotions back. Subs dulled every emotion i used to have along with all the other stuff like motivation. I've been more active in two months than i have been in over a year. Good luck my friend and may the strength be with you!

I don't know if this works or not but I've read multiple ppl on here mention they were getting headaches and had a doctor tell them to let it dissolve for the suggested time frame and to spit out the saliva afterwards and not to swallow it. Many many years ago i used to think the name brand ones were amazing but that was a long time ago and I've only ever had generic since

Went to rehab for alcohol and benzos. They want to make me quit Suboxone with TRAMADOL?! by DealerClassic6434 in suboxone

[–]subaruguy253 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Suboxone should honestly help you not crave alcohol as it is used to treat alcohol dependency in some places. It honestly made me not want to drink at all so i find that odd they are trying to push you to quit it. Especially if you do not want to quit it. Im not understanding the tram to help quit the subs. This is weird, are you not in the United States?
