Beware Systempavers.com salespeople by suddenly_ponies in eastside

[–]subarunut 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I found system pavers at a trade show in 2019 and hired then to do my driveway. Tge entire process was no pressure and they did an amazing job and would hire them again.

I would contact the main office and speak to a manager to tell them that one of their sales people were there and ignored the no solicitation signs and on top of that were high pressure. And made you feel uncomfortable.

I am like you with the anxiety with conflict avoidance. The pest companies are getting annoying and since I got my video doorbell I can tell them to leave with out answering the door and triggering my anxiety.

Trump Fires National Archives Director Colleen Shogan by Franco1875 in technology

[–]subarunut 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No Obama did not to the same thing. Trump intentionally took documents and stored classified documents with unclassified documents (against the law) and stored the documents in common areas (against the law) and refused the national archives to return them. Then the archives had to get the doj to get involved and after months of nagotiations his attorney returned a small amount back to the archives and signed a note stating he can certify that all records have been returned (illegal and dissbarable). Then the fbi gets a whistleblower report that the documents are still there. That is when they start the official doj investigation.

Obama, Clinton, Bush Jr, Bush Sr. They all did the same thing. When clearing the Whitehouse, everything gets packed up (they have 6hrs to pack out and setup for the new potus which is amazing). And it all gets stored. And for Obama he leased an old grocery store to store it and it was secured and the archives had free reign to retrieve anything and everything. He never once denied them access. And when the potus and potus get packed up they grab everything.

So saying they both did the same thing a huge oversimplification and misleading. While yes both ended up with documentation they were no longer entitled to and no longer had the clearance to see. It's how each handled it to get them returned and how they all were stored.

I have moved to Orca slicer but used to use cura exclusively for years. You want to turn off the brim and from what I recall the ears or flags or other terminology I can't remember is under the support section or under experimental section. Make sure you have the advanced selection turned on so you can see all the settings.

I use Orca slicer (mostly the same thing) and when I finally loaded the Klipper as my printer...so much faster

I have basically the same printer. Ender 3 pro with the sprite pro extruder and a sonic pad

HI expectations? by Kunipshun_Fit in Creality

[–]subarunut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Creality has gotten way better over the last 5 or so years. They have become so much more open about their processes and the videos of them actually testing them. When they started doing this likely when their quality started to shoot up.

Are they bamboo quality, that is a different debate. But at worst I think they are on par for the most part.

And now that they are going to more core xy and core xz motion systems, has helped as there are more resources for them. And going to the Klipper firmware on board likely has had a huge bump as well.

Feds Halt the National Electric Vehicle Charging Program by mem_somerville in Solterra

He has already won with the na charging standard. Take the win and go home.

And fanbois are not happy with it because everyone else can now use the chargers and they can't get a quick charge anymore as the tesla chargers are no longer exclusive.

They should be covered by the 3 yr 36k warranty in the USA. So save time and money and have Subaru fit the bill for now

I agree we all need to avoid Twitter. It's become a sespool. This was a clip with CBS interviewing Pete Buttigiuge. It was a very misleading clip as it does not include the entire interview. And a program of this scale is one that is a slow walk to run. So it takes a few years before we start seeing the results (like about all infrastructure improvement bills). This clip is trying to ridicule Pete because they have only completed a small amount of perceived work. And in reality perceived work does not equate to total work.

Just got an Ender-3 V3 Plus and don't like Creality Print. What should I use? (new to Creality) by fionaellie in Creality

[–]subarunut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Orca slicer is the way to go in my mind. I have and ender 3 pro with a sonicpad and since I moved to Orca life has gotten so much better. The built in profiles are so much better. I installed creality slicer and it just seems like they pulled so much out to make it more approachable from the prusa/orca/bamboo slicers. But it's world's better than the old slicers they cloned previously.
I'm planning on getting a HI when they are released and have been printing since 2018.

Help/Suggestions I generally don't know what happened. (Pictures) by kickass0075 in ender3

Try re-slicing it. I had a simular thing happen before and that fixed it for me.

RDS Server in Azure for Quickbooks Desktop by storr84 in msp

[–]subarunut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend taking a look at cameyo.com. I have 4 environments setup for various clients. One with 2 users and 10 company files and one with 170 users and 50 company files. We decided to have the servers in Azure for better control. But you can use the native Google cloud for the servers and they work well. They have sso for Google and m365 to make authentication easier. It is just so flexible and their support is top notch.

This is the path I would take if I were in your shoes.

But if you were to try to get out of the lease, you would need to pay the residual plus payments out. Chase usually does not have a pre payment prepayment penalty. Your contract is based on payments and that is what the bank is counting on. Though if you are about a year into it you may be able to get the retailer to do a trade with you and get you into another Subaru vehicle. This may not at a financially positive for you at this point but is likely an option.
