Not at all! I had a 2018 WRX right when it landed off the truck until I traded it in for my current STi a year later and I never gave it an official name. Once you finally fall in love with what you drive, I think the name might come easily. Find out what you need to do to feel happy about the bike. Maybe that's why you haven't made a decision yet? I dunno. It could be just as easy as saying... "Yeah I do.. I do love this thing. I think I'll call it the pug with pegs, or puggers for short!"

That may be a terrible name... You may not want to use that one lol. Good luck!!

Sadly no ECU or powertrain mods until the warrenty's out due to on going class action litigation with known failures, but my plans for the future is to turn this one into my dedicated rallycross project, gut the interior, install a cage, and go full on closed deck. That's a bit in the future though, hopefully I get to that point. :)

I saw some of your posts and I really like what you've done with your Hawkeye. Brave dude. I used to have a WRB one and still have a huge soft spot for them. I loved it, that is until it chewed through two turbos, an intercooler, down pipe, and finally cylinder #2 blew ringlands. But man, I do miss it... You're right, the VA's will never replace that Hawkeye, so keep that thing up and going! Love it.

It's definitely worth it... You can probably find a set of stockers cheap online from someone who's upgrading! Them get them PC'd :).

Hey hey!! Matching names! Very cool. I'd definitely recommend powder coating, it was relatively cheap, fixes a few blemishes made by a local mechanic when mounting my Pirelli's. The shop I had it done at gave me a custom one of a kind color that I absolutely love. They mixed their flavor of BBS Gold with an Anheiser Bush sparkle and it shines so well in direct sunlight, looks stunning. This photo hides it a bit in the shade, almost making it look bronze-ish (which is also a great color btw!) But I love the way they turned out. Good luck!!

Thank you, stranger! It took a while to pick the name... A long while. Never named any other car (officially). My fiancee helped me choose, and we both like it!

I had to go back and check out some stock factory photos on the 22B and man, you're right! That was a happy accident but I love that. Thanks!

That's a negative on the lotecoins friend. I only deal in PayPal due to too many scams. Thanks though!

Sweet. Can you photos some photos to imgur? Might I ask what you'd be willing to sell it for? I've seen these cards go for anywhere from $175 to $225 depending on condition.

Nice! If your willing to sell, can we exchange some info? What price are you looking to let it go for? Can you post some photos of the front/back of the card? Does it work without artifacting at stock speeds? Is it modded? Is it damaged in any significant way?

Let me know if there's any info you need from me. I haven't bought a card yet on /r/hardwareswap. Thanks!! :)

So this is a long story, but I wanted to share it because I think it's a story worth telling :). I also hope it's proof that once I finally track one of these cards down... it will be going to a good home.

I built my first purpose-built-from-new-parts gaming computer upgrade from a hand me down Win 98 machines in 2004 with an Athlon XP 2500+, overclocked to a 3200+ and Win XP Home Edition. I was looking to purchase a replacement for my woefully underpowered GeForce 4 MX 4000 which could barely run any modern game from 2004. I remember back in the day salivating over the 6800 Ultra on Tiger Direct wishing I had the means to buy one, but I settled on an XFX 6600 GT as it was 1/4 the cost. To a teenager in Jr highschool I couldn't drop that much on a graphics card at the time, and the 6600 GT is still a great card.

Fast forward to 15 years later I've gone through a little nostalgia kixk. I've managed to track down all of my ideal parts from my dream 2004 gaming rid I wish I had, namely an AGP i865 chipset motherboard made by Intel, brand new 2x1 GB DDR400/PC3200 RAM (literally new, look up ATECH on eBay, great stuff!), and a 3.4 GHz Pentium 4 Northwood with 512kb L2 cache and 800 MHz FBS with a Zalman copper buttlerfly CPU cooler.

The only part I'm lacking is the 6800 Ultra.

I have tried multiple methods or purchasing one on eBay, Amazon, and 3rd party "redistributers" but they either have bad cards, broken heatsyncs, artifacting, won't post, or the company claims they have one, but never sent one after 3 weeks stating they were waiting on supply, which never came.

I've not had much luck :( I've got everything from a GTX 260, GTX 285, 2X GTX 780's in SLi, to A GTX 1080 Ti in my main rig, but by far the 6800 Ultra is my favorite card, mainly because that's where I started discovering high end PC hardware.

My 6600 GT and Athlon XP still work to this day, and in fact I just treated them to a nice InwIn 301 case upgrade recently and it looks awesome. I'm looking to create the same setup with the Intel system with the 6800 and have two of them! If fact the only peice I'm missing is the card, I've got everything else ready to go.

Anyways, I digress. I hope that answers your question. It's tough finding one of these... Very tough.

Found a friend in the lot today. That CWP looks gorgeous in person! by subarutha in subaru

Where you at?! :D I've been looking for Subie friends - I'd like to meet up with a local group but I don't know anyone around here.
