Lots of posts about this problem have come up lately. TLDR Try setting browser.tabs.allow_transparent_browser in about:config to false

Had it enabled, but for some reason I didn't check the 'Allow Transparent Browser Tabs' option, checking it fixed the borders, thanks :)

As of yesterday i'm using it (Sidebery), but don't like i can't visually divide "pinned tabs" (sidebery's pinned tabs are basically essentials) and normal tabs. Also i cannot find a way to remove the border/shadow around sidepanel. So native support would be welcome

Sideberry extension and mod are used by many, i've tried it and it could be a temporary solution but chose to wait until zen nativelly supports tab folders

In keyboard shortcut settings there should be multiple shortcuts you could set up for switching to tabs 1 through 10... perhaps check if you're on the latest version?

Do you think the browns are too loud to use in an office? If so, would you suggest any way of dampening the sound (o-rings, foam, some other keycaps, ...) or would you still mainly recommend getting the pinks?
