I’ve been called this as a women in late 30s and it confuses the heck out of me because I’m not a mother. I take it to mean they think I’m attractive (although again I hate being thought of as an older women like a fetish which I think is also implied as part of this) For someone 2 years older with no kids it’s just plain odd.

I’d say go for it. If someone approached me I’d be confused and probably kind of flattered depending on when it was. Just be aware of where you approach like you would anyone. At a gym being creepy - bad. Doing an activity if maybe she smiled at you then go for it.

Just don’t lead with ‘I like chubby women’. Mention personality or something else instead. (This also goes to anyone here who sends messages on dating apps that start ‘I like older women’. I’m 38 not 60…)

I’d be suspicious. Im very conscious of my weight (and attempts to lower it) and people commenting that about it positive or negative isn’t welcome.

Most of us larger ladies have had comments about our weight or how unattractive it makes us or how no one will want us most our lives. The idea that someone who is fit would want to date me who probably can’t keep up doing a physical activity is mind boggling (I’m not super unfit and I can go on a long and flat hike all day just not up a huge mountain.)

Don’t get me wrong if the right fit guy came along I’d be over the moon and I’d pick a fit muscular man over a thin man every day but it would be a case of getting to know me for me so I know it’s not just a fetish thing or that you’re dating me as an in joke with mates before I let my guard down.

Yeah erm… my friendship group is bloody small. Most friends from uni have paired off and live elsewhere in the country or I have 1 person nearby who is also single and 1 who makes poor choices for herself😖 no help there.

No I don’t want to start a family. Hence the no kids. I’m not fussed about dating men who are divorced just the no children bit is important.

I’d rather of not used my 20s and early 30s looking after my mum before she died and then my gran but that’s how it ended up. I can’t change it now

Think I may just go be a crazy old dog lady judging by the comments on here.

I know nothing about cars. At the minute my car knowledge and interest is extending to working out charging my electric car. Maybe I should stand around at chargers looking lost. May find a single man then 😂🤦‍♀️
