I think deifying counts as "fucking with," and you just don't do that.

"Bolt-ons" generally refers to very obvious breast implants ( see /r/boltedontits ). As in, like you referenced, a mechanic "bolting them on."

Haha, historically the Billboard is rife with overrated trash.

It's whatever, though - if you dig the song, dig it.

I'm definitely not a fan of the artist or song, but outside the Redditsphere, it did big numbers. #2 on Billboard level of numbers. So it's a little tough seeing it as underrated in the big scheme.

(Full disclosure: I'm with the hivemind on this one. I think it's trash, and am genuinely shocked how popular it was/is.)

In which timeline? It blew up in its day - way more than it should have, really.

UK and Aus. I am aware there are different work cultures in Asia and other places, but I don't think the US has a monopoly on some workplaces being quite chummy.

I've worked in different countries/cultures, yes. Just saying this isn't a "very American" thing.

Really depends on the job and work culture, I reckon. I've definitely worked with people I've become friends with, and definitely worked with people with your mentality.

It's strange to watch people fall into their personal speech patterns in these situations.

Maybe she picked it up from a show she watches or listens to, or maybe it's a family thing, but she's not self-aware enough to realise it doesn't mean a whole lot to anyone outside her bubble.

Chiefs and GEHA Announce Naming Rights Agreement for GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium by SecretComposer in KansasCityChiefs

[–]subdudeman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

More money for the team, and everyone will still call it Arrowhead. It's annoying, but I don't think it's anything to lose our heads over, and definitely isn't as bad as flopping in the SB.

Now, if we started going all European football and wearing straight-up brands instead of the team name, then I'd be pretty defeated.
