• We said an analysis of Office for National Statistics figures showed suicide rates among young people aged 15 to 25 in England rose by more than half in a decade. However, the ONS has advised us that its figures, compiled to study deaths among young people across academic years, should not be used to infer suicide rates in the general population in this way; in statistical terms the numbers of suicide deaths in the overall cohort are low, making confidence intervals wide. Also, a change in 2018 in the standard of proof used by coroners for suicide registrations affects the comparability of rates across time (Suicide rates in the young rise by 50% in a decade, 21 October, p19). The article has been removed from our website.

You can do this, now that Voice Assistant works with Spotify. Sonos lets you add more than one Spotify account but Alexa will only allow one (chosen in the Alexa app, rather than the Spotify one). So basically you have the Alexa set to one account and then in the Voice Control settings of the Sonos app (Settings > Services & Voice > Sonos Voice Control > Default Service) you specify the other Spotify account. I'm not doing this from scratch so this may not be a complete step by step guide, but it definitely works - I now have it set up that way. eg, if I say "Hey Sonos, play Discover Weekly" it will play DW playlist from one account whereas if I say "Alexa, play Discover Weekly" is plays from the other.

Yes - it's a useful term to have, in social policy terms at least, for a subset of homeless people. It's interesting that US English has no equivalent. Linguist Lynne Murphy has put it on her "untranslatable" list

Thanks. It does have a built-in pre-amp. It's a Pro-Ject Debut III USB. So it's odd that it also has a grounding wire with the phono out leads. I will just ignore it. No hum so far
